The reading for Monday speaks to the times when we wish to manage others: directing, admonishing, dont wear that, time for church, dont take the car, and on and on. This kind of attitude deprives others from their freedom of choice and dignity. Under the guise of doing good, we can act like a mother to a grown up and treat them like a child.

In the past I was GUILTY! I knew what my A should be doing and not doing and I made it perfectly clear all the time. Needless to say the marriage fell apart and both of us were really miserable. It took the patience of my sponsor to guide me into the mindset described in the quote. Letting go and letting God was just not easy for me. But now, I can give you the example that happened this morning. My A slept in, made breakfast, cleaned up, and layed down for awhile. Years ago, I would have been all over that: what, you are tired after making and eating breakfast?? Its none of my business. I had plenty of stuff to do and I just kept doing it. And by the way, I did take a rest in the afternoon and my A did not. So, my way is the right way?? My way is the right way for me, period, end of sentence!

Thank you Lyne for today's reading, your service and ESH.
Happy Monday to you and the MIP family!!
Yeah, I hear and understand exactly what your ESH is pointing out.
To think that I am so perfect that my way is the best is so difficult to comprehend and
get across. I do not know about you, but AH knows everything as well and it takes
lots of patience to ignore and move on. Al-Anon tools definitely help and reading the
C2C everyday is an enormous help!!
