If you could offer a prayer it would be appreciated. My SO is in surgery. I'm here alone waiting.I rushed him to the ER last night. They told us mo bed for him, transferred him in midst of health difficulties. His kids stepped up to help to get me to a hospital far from home and for that Im grateful. They didn't stick around at the hospital with me while their dad is operated on. They said Good luck, Dad and left. I feel unusually calm. This has little to do with serenity and more to do with not sleeping for almost a day and a half. I'd cry but I just don't have the energy.I saw the hurt when his kids chose to leave. We were accepting.i wish they had waited until after he was taken in before leaving. The kid that I rode with was trying to convince me to be the one responsible for health decisions if their father was unable to speak for himself. I pointed out that he was able to advocate for himself and ended the discussion by saying their father and I had not had this discussion. They pressed on with this by offering to create the document and language. I practiced detachment by being silent. Did I mention no health insurance? The other hospital transferred my SO to a world renowned teaching hospital. It's undetermined if he'll be admitted but they had me wait in the room he'd be assigned. It's not a room, it's a massive suite. I left it to care for myself, to eat something finally, to it sit out in the sun to breathe freely. I wish we could afford this. ..
