Monday, our state opted out of the federal unemployment, Rescue act that impacted me like a tsunami..I get 3-1/2 deposits left and that is IT!!! and that has to go to ins. (house and car) car reg. it has to go to STUFF
so Monday, I am crying my eyes out, literally sobbing and hyperventilating almost because of the shock and the fear because I have been trying to rebuild my business/freelance enterprise with zero luck..I shifted between shock /numbness and crying my heart out
My neighbors up the street were the first to find out because they saw me crying in my back yard and so I told them what happened..an h our later, the guy comes to my house and he has a friend who works at a church pantry and he gives "Billy" all this food.."Billy" told me each week, his buddy does this and that he and his wife don't need all this stuff, so they will bring it to me every time they get a bag..I was sooo gr8ful..I got eggs, cheese, apples, onions (they know I am real into health food) chicken patties and i forgot what else
THEN I call my yard guy and I tell him that I have to do my yard myself, UI is cutting me off and I cannot spend more then social security brings in till I get some work...he says to me "Rosie, you have been so kind to recommend me on the next door site, I am doing your yard for FREE..Just recommend me like U R doing, let me put my sign in your yard and its NO CHARGE" I was speachless with gratitude
Then, my termite guy came to check up on me and I am (got whole house treated for termites on May 6th, an expense I DID NOT need as I had been treated in 2018 and the monsters came back) anyway, he came to check up on me and I , in my paranoia told him that "swarmers" were really , i mean dozens of them were swarming in my guest restroom...he gets out his sprayer and he treated me AGAIN (yea, it was under warantee, but he did not have to spray as the swarmers were just the ones who got hit and because they had wings, they could flee the site but for sure they were dying) anyway, not only did he do a full spray of the area, but he left me with a packet of termidor and its enough to keep me going for a LONG time....and he gave me his cell and said ANYtime I need him, to just call.....I was in tears because I thought i was doomed to be a termite den, and so he hugged me and assured me that those critters will NOT come back to my place after what they did on May 6th and today
THEN, I go to my favorite thrift shop to see if I can stock up on some dry dog food, costco brand, 40# bags and they had a BUNCH of them, so I grabbed 4 of them and a big box of bescuits for the dogs...the mgr, only charged me $10 for each bag and they were each---40#...My office looks like a pet shop as I had bags of Pedigree that walmart had rolled back for a week or so...so yea, i got about 250# of dog food, so what I'll do is keep it current and then when money is gone, I'll have all this to fall back on....
SOOOO many people coming out of the woodwork to do kindnesses to me, its unbelievable...humbling...its like I am in this ark and I can't see anything but rain and more rain (we've been getting clobbered with storms of late) but anyway, I am ready to fall apart over nothing but rain and darkness and all these birds have flown to my ark with twigs in their mouths, showing me that HP has me covered and here is a twig (for me, a FEW twigs) to prove to me that I will be seeing the trees and land soon....
All these people, hugging and helping me...I beseeched HP to kiss all their prayers in gratitude...
Yea, I am afraid, I would be lying if I said I was not...But I am leaning on my program and allowing others to help me out of the kindness of their hearts and after I do this post, i want to do a BIG thumbs up to the termite hero who went over and above contract to put my mind at ease on the next door web site.

Had to be here as when I was trying to get to sleep my bedroom lit up with the light from this computer as it came on itself. I was saying the Serenity Prayer and others and it took nothing to add you in. You're in!! HP gave me a more rewarding person of need. (((hugs)))

The visual of you as the Ark and all the birds swarming you with olive branches was a wonderful one to wake up to today! I am so glad that your HP has blessed you with wonderful, caring people in your life!

Wow! So much love and kindness on my post here. I am very very grateful to be a member of this group. Yes I cry and I get scared sometimes but then I remind myself of all the little proofs here and there that my higher power has given me to show me that I am going to be OK someway somehow I am going to be OK.
So I am going just one day at a time and giving thanks for all the little miracles that I see. I learned how to work with sheet rock so I did some repair work in my restrooms and then I sponge painted each one of them in their own special little pastel happy colors and I am so happy with the way they turned out.
There is much to be grateful for and I do believe in the law of attraction in that the more I give gratitude to the universe and my higher power, the more I will receive to be grateful for. Today I am going to go to the gym after I do my physiotherapy here at home and I will chat up with my friends at the gym and just do life on a one Day at a time basis and when I do feel the fear trying to crawl into my spirit, I am just going to be with my feelings and allow it to pass through Me and then do myself talk and just gently remind me that
today I am OK. Today my needs are met. Today I know I have people who care about me. Today, even though we are in the midst of multiple rain storms, today I am OK and that is what I must focus on. Oh I slip here and there and I let the fear come in but journaling and self talk and coming here is my RX
What a lovely way to start my day, to come here and see all these beautiful and encouraging shares. May the universe bless all of you and I am so grateful that I am a part of this loving community. It does my heart good to logon and see all the wonderful people stepping in to give me a thumbs up and some encouragement to start my day with. I had trouble sleeping last night which I am not surprised since this happened so I am just kind of nurturing myself. Hey everybody! Lovely shares everybody thank you so much. The city called me this morning and asked me what I was doing about my yard and I told them that a very kind young man was going to do me for free because I have gotten him clients, advertising for him and the man at the city code compliance told me he said no worries he said sign this waiver of liability and he said Ill put you on the seniors yard care program and you dont have to worry and they will do your yard throughout the summer and I was like wow!! I knew the guy but I asked him how did he find out and he said oh. he said it was all over the news and so he grabbed my application that I did in the spring where they shut me down because I was making unemployment And at the time did not need, so he put my file back in the active and he said someone would be getting in touch with me soon to let me know what day they are coming and all of that. I was so stunned and so grateful I wrote an email to his supervisor and told him what a great job this fellow is doing and that the city is blessed to have him.
Im still going to help my little friend with the advertising but this seniors program is a nice program I was on it last year and I had a nice group of fellows come out and do my yard every two weeks. So I am just thanking God and I am plenty stocked up on dog food. This little thrift shop I think I told you guys about it, they get pallets of stuff from Costco and maybe the bag is broken and they have to tape it up or a can is bent a little bit and so the thrift shop buys it really cheap and sells it to us so I got, now, Five bags Weighing 40 pounds each as I stopped in there this morning and so Ive got plenty of dog food for my girls I probably have close to 300 pounds because I had my food. Like I said, the office looks like a pet shop. I also got a good deal on birdseed for my birds I got a 5 pound bag for under four dollars. So yeah I am just very grateful to God of the universe looking after me
I do have to stop and breathe and work step three when I feel the fear but its manageable its not consuming me. Yeah the grief comes in but not like it did Monday and Tuesday, so I am making my peace with this and coming into acceptance and maybe I am learning to have a smidgen of trust in my higher power
