When I came into.al.anon I was living with the chaos created by an active alcoholic addict. My own reaction to this state of the affairs made it harder
Fast forward many years down the line
The pandemic has been almost two years. Vaccination has not changed much really. Tremendous issues and limitations
Recently I took some time off with unpaid
Meanwhile the list of frustrations are there. Payments not received. A ton of dental work that cost thousands
Lots of issues
These are a teeny tiny fraction of what i.usec to deal with. Yet I have to watch that stress dial. Too much stress too many impossible people to.deal with the dial goes off the charts
I work real hard to have limits
I work real hard to have boundaries
Yet it is still hard
I don't know what I was thinking when I dreamt with the alcoholic day in day out. Clearly there were no.sekf preservation measures in there

Maresie... I am up early this morning- writing and reading. Besides poetry I have always written to newspapers. I wrote a letter in yesterday- and it is headlined on the editorial page here this morning. Print media is competing with facebook these days.
I go to meditation at 8.30 down at the Anglican church.
But here ah is, reading your posting! ... great stuff, Sis! ...

Maresie, I feel for you and am sorry for your difficulties indeed.
Am dealing with a few health issues as well that there are no quick or easy
fixes for, but what I do is look around at all the beauty there is and thank
HP for his help and the blessings I can count on, see and feel. Gratitude
does help me a lot, as well as living in the present. When I spend to much
time on the past and do not stop to realize that without the past as a learning
experience I lose sight of the gains realized from those past and trying times.

I hear your anxiety and also admire your recovery and the tenacity you illustrate in working it. Sending lots of support.

I don't see these as problems. I.see them as progress
