I just wanted to say "Thank you" to David for helping me to get in touch with Hidden. I was locked out for over a week!! I still came to read though, so I appreciate everyone's Experience Strength and Hope, and their dedication to Service. Thank you Hidden for looking into this, and helping me to get back on.
For some reason, the "forgot your password" function did not work for me at all. Oddly enough, I eventually found out I was still logged into the Step Work Board, and David stumbled upon my post for help there.
I am glad to be back in touch!
It is a good Friday!

Thank you all, it is good to be back!
Rose, although I didn't really "leave" it sure was frustrating to see your "come back" post and not be able to tell you that I was so happy you had checked in, and COVID didn't get you!!! Although, to be quite frank, I told myself that 1. you were too tough and 2. you took too good care of yourself to succumb to Covid!!
The wonderful thing was, although I felt disconnected, I didn't feel truly LOST. I was able to stay grounded and calm b/c I checked in and had you all here... doing what y'all do!! So grateful!!
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend... it is a super sunny one here!! I am going to try and make the most of it!!

Glad that you could make it back
These are heady times when a program is so essential
My.grief teacher says that this pandemic is not over so we cannot really grieve it yet. In fact we are all in stress response
Being an essential worker last year was particularly off the charts for me
I am so grateful to be going to classes abd attending groups on grief. Grief is such a huge part of dealing with an alcoholic
Then of course being codependent grief is such an enormous part of letting go. That is letting go of being boundaryless and having no limits whatsoever being a major milestone
Thank you so much for making it back to the fold

You are so right... it is a prolonged stress response. I work in healthcare, so in one way, my life didn't change much (no loss of work, no Lockdown- in fact, so many more hours of work), but had/have a second-row seat to all the damage this virus has caused people and their loved ones. I vacillate between understanding harsh/terrible realities and pushing down those realities so that I can make it through the work week. I have developed such a strong sense of respect for those nurses and doctors who are on the front lines of this. I have just recently accepted that some people cannot accept this virus, no matter what learned people tell them. I dealt with a lot of anger and even hatred on my part (embarrassed to admit that) last year due to the behaviors of some around this virus. Truth be told, It was Iamhere's response of "I prefer to be part of the solution, rather than part of the problem," that set me free! Even now, I am sometimes mocked for my choices regarding virus response behavior... I just tell them that perfect response, and not only do I feel better, but it shuts them up straight away!
I am not sure how you will perceive this Maresie, but I have seen such tremendous growth in you over the year! Whatever you do as an essential worker, I thank you for that. Yes, you were/are keeping yourself going, but when it comes down to brass tacks, you are part of what has kept this country running and moving through the pandemic. We WILL move forward. It will eventually become endemic. Making it to that time is the key... perhaps your grief counseling is one part of the key for you. Your program is looking good on you!
