Hi all, Ive fallen off the wagon and have been white knuckling it for too long. Im merely surviving again, this last year has me in my knees and face. Life with covid as a nurse working full time hasnt been easy, life with two foster teens this last year hasnt been easy and everything else is falling away. I know the answer and to five back into me and my program so here I am to put my own oxygen mask on and start filling my empty tanks! I have nothing to give and to top everything off, Ive started menopause ! Ive missed you all and hope to get to know any new friends.

(((BF))) - welcome back - you've been missed. I have a huge, large space in my heart for all who are in the medical field right now on the front lines against this virus. I can not relate but surely can thank you for your service and tell you that I stand in awe of your courage, determination and commitment.
I went through menopause early and when I had teens. Oh Lordy - it was a hot mess in more ways than one. Anything/everything made me tense and angry and for me, the less serene I was, the more hot flashes I had. It's completely different for everyone -- but raising kids is hard enough...adding this disease and the change just compounded my emotional state and wore me down!
Love that you are taking charge of your recovery and back here for your self-care. Yesterday already doesn't matter - just today does. And just for today, I choose to do whatever I can to be calm, serene, patient and kind. Small steps will get you 'back' to where you want/need to be! Breathe, and know that you're in the right place, just for today.
Keep coming back - you're not alone and you know there's hope and help in recovery!!

Hi BreakingFree. It's great to see you again though I'm sorry for your hard times at the moment. I have full faith in your abilities to do what needs to be done for you because i watched you do it when you were a nursing student and was inspired by your fortitude and uplifted often by your signature sign off. I hope you have an opportunity now to pour some of that love and care you have given to others back into yourself. Sending lots of support vibes your way.

I needed to come home too, my experience is similar, my main job has been suspended, so I have been working in a residential specialised dementia unit throughout covid and it's traumatised me,
We lost 6 residents in quick succession and have been left with long covid complications in others, I have never know anxiety and fear like this has had me feeling, I have no set shift pattern as I am fitting in around everyone else, so my sleep pattern is pants! I just needed a cuddle nothing more, so I went to the hardware store ! I cracked and here I am, love to you all xxxx

Thank you so much for coming back. This past year I have been an essential worker braving the world under extraordinary circumstances
It has been incredibly challenging. I am so grateful that I have had a program to help me through this
I still have many challenges and it has not let up one bit. My sleep patterns have been dramatically affected
I am so glad that you have come back to check in on us. You were dearly missed.

Breakingfree Im not sure I know you. But healthcare workers are my heroes. And I just wanted to say welcome back and I am glad that you didnt contract the disease working with people like that but I truly truly hold in the highest esteem the nurses and the caregivers. I have to laugh sometimes at some people they talk about Dr. this and doctor that but you know what? It is the nurses that keep the patients alive and going. So God bless you
You have come to the right place to help get back on track!!
