She was Patricia Godfrey Lowe, she died Sept. 25th from cancer...her daughter , Deb, didn't know how to find me so she hacked into her mom's facebook account and told me
Now I have no sisters left...Patsy was not my bio sister, but when i was 12 and got real good at running away, she and Gini, her younger sister (also deceased) took me home to mom and dad Godfrey and they took me in..For years, they fought to get custody of me but had to settle for "shared custody" if Only I could have told ALL of my abuse, they would have won, but with him threatening my siblings and our pets, I shut my mouth
I went to school, living with them, then I would shuttle back and forth, to hell and then back to my happy place with mom and dad and Patsy and Gini....the girls worked at very nice clothing stores and they would get me clothes and i was the best dressed middle and high school kid with very find clothes....they taught me how to be a pretty girl and taught me about boys and everything I KNEW I learned from Patsy and Gini...Mom and dad loved me to death and I them...
Now everone of them is gone and my heart is bleeding out right now from losing the last, Patsy, of them
I had to leave Mass. because my offender would not leave me alone, he was actually stalking me so I fled to california with my bio sister, Jane who was "OK" with me, I mean she wasn't Patsy or Gini, but I knew she loved me
anyway, fast forward, Facebook comes on the scene and I go hunting for my sisters and yaaay, I had found them and enjoyed catching up with them and the love never had diminished..distance cannot kill that kind of love...
We shared our memories and our current affairs and the bonds were just as solid...
Gini Passed away, alzheimers , in Feb 28th, 2017, then sister Jane followed July 25th, 2017...2017 was the year from hell....but I had Patsy and we hung onto each other
THEN, this past couple of months, I noticed Patsy being really quiet, no posts, no hearts to me, no "I love you's" no admonitions about being safe from Covid anymore...she was my big sister and still was telling me what to do , GENTLY and very LOVINGLY...I would tell her "yes, Patsy, I am only getting groceries and gym, thats all" she worried about me with my previous bouts of pneumonia and my battle with childhood asthma that I out grew, she worried about this disease getting me...then QUIET....
she is gone now, she has flown away to meet the other angels.......GAWD this hurts!!!!!
Gotta go process and grieve....I've got not real family anymore.........

I am so sorry for your loss.
It made me happy for you to read about all the love you shared with that family. I am sure you brought them as much joy as they did you.

Thanks all you wonderful fellow travelers...I feel absolutely like someone stepped on my heart...But ya know?? I have people HERE, on this earth who love me and i love them....my Lesson in this??? LOVE whom I got NOW and don't let too much time pass between "I love you's" and hugs....You just never know...Noone knew she had cancer till it got so bad, Debbie saw her and she knew, so she moved in with her to see her to her end....She was kind and thoughtful, didn't want to tell ME because I was here, unable, financially to come be with her so she kept it from me....She was so loving..so unselfish right to the very end....I MISS HER...
i know mom died in Feb. 2010, one pic has 2001 written on it and i think the other is newer....anyway, thats Patsy and mom

Mahalo Rose for the empathy and for filling in the family with Mom and Sis. I lay in bed just a minute ago and redid my family inventory also and recognized the fence between here and there also. I can close my eyes and see them all clearly and remember events good and not so and then check out my own age at 78 and feel closer to them because of it not that I am looking forward to a spirit changing event just knowing that actually we have still been together in spirit since the beginning. Well it seems that two out of three of her kids want me in their life and in whatever capacity they want, I am happy about that, my other sisters kids I think the youngest and the oldest I might be able to have contact with. I am just going to go easy does it with it because everybody is scattered all over the place and I know that Ginis girls Are harder to get close to because their dad was very alcoholic and abusive to their mom I used to Have a better relationship with them but things kind of went distant because Patsy hated Jimmy so much and I supported her and also Gini. And her kids werent happy with patsy or me agreeing about their dad. So Ive got to kind of walk softly with them but I think maybe things could get restored. I hope so. I am hoping patsys death can bring the family better together but one day at a time

Thank you all for your very sweet love and support. It means a lot. I had a really bad night sleeping last night. Debbie told me Bob is going to do the obituary on Patsys Facebook page and I am just going to offer help if he wants me to help him and then drop it and let him decide as he is her oldest and so he has the right to decide who gets involved in the obituary and the memorial and I will Go along with what Bob wants

Loved that you shared the pictures... happy times. Your story was so filled with love...it warms my heart to know that those 2 girls (women) took you into their homes, and you had a mother and father who loved you!

Hey. PnP. I am so blessed to have had these people in my life. I would probably not know what real love was headed not been for them. They were my lighthouse in the storm. My wonderful warm place where I could go and get out of the darkness. I dont even want to think how damaged and sick I would have been had it not been for This wonderful family. My biological mother knew how much they loved me and I know deep in my heart she wanted to let me go because they offered me a better home but the sperm donor would not have any part of that he would not let go of me for obvious horrid reasons. But I dont want to look at the negative I want to focus on the love and validation and encouragement that I got from these people. Thank you so much for stopping in
