I have a letter on my table... three foolscap pages of neatly written words...
I have always loved letter- from when i was a kid- both sending and receiving...
My nephew's partner responded to a card I sent to her treatment centre.
Have been there myself, [as a family member] i saw the need for outside contact... because leaving the cocoon afterwards can be really scary!
Ah aint read it yet- I am waiting for a quiet 40 minutes in the evening to read through it.

I've always loved writing and receiving handwritten letters too. There's nothing quite like sitting down and reading one that comes in an actual, physical mailbox.
It was nice of you to send a card to someone that I'm sure needed to feel cared about .Sadly, many people don't do that and don't realize how important it is.

Mama... one thing I do believe in is unconditional love- which you describe here. ...
...trying to apply it to my young relative in treatment- and I replied to her letter today.
Actually "trying" is not the word... ...it does come easily. ...

I love snail mail and still send letters and cards all the time. My sons mother in law lost her husband about two months ago. Im sending her a card a week for awhile, and I did this for my personal friend who also lost her husband. Those grieving seem especially grateful for the cards.
