I was always cautious about not using conference approved material.
Maybe hypervigilant, even.
So- the three A's appear in a reading for Courage To Change. Through our three daily readers there are over 1000 entries. So there is a fair bit of scope here.
I believe that people can introduce new ideas, from time to time. Test things out.
Our governance process, in Alanon allows for input from the bottom to the top- from each member. From each group.
The three A's are Awareness, Acceptance Action.
As I have hovered around the last three steps- concerted action is more likely- be cause I am calm, and more confident.
Looking more- at the traditions, and the 12 Concepts I began to say: Principles- Policy- Practise...
I believe that our group policies grow out of our daily and weekly experience in Alanon. Our treasured group conscience.
The trust we are building up- from one member to the next. Precious- valuable.
These days i looking more at goals- my own goals and objective, in particular... the way I move inside of the movement... the way I function.
So onside my three P's I placed another- purpose.
...principles- policy- purpose- practise...
I am not suggesting that any group should adopt these four ideas... there are merely a part of my own Step 11 reflections. Pure and simple. ...

Thank you for your thoughts, David. As usual, thought-provoking for me!!
I have come to love the 3 A's - Awareness, Acceptance, Action. For years I "lived" in Action. Then came Awareness. It joined with it's sister Action - those where rough years for me.
It wasn't until I embraced Acceptance did I begin to "see" clearly. I know believe it all comes down to Acceptance.
I like your 4 P's.
I am not sure about the Policy, but I do love Principles, Purpose, Practice!!
Hope you are enjoying your Monday! &

P. Thanks for your input.
I am still in my jim-jams... having been camping in the couch for three weeks out of th last four.
My SO has been in a camper for a month having a break. I joined her last week- but just for a week.
Yawn...
...entered a poetry competition... a local one- with my laptop on my lap... little dog at my feet.
Had a bit of a relapse over the last two days- which was a bit scary... but managed to face it down, gently...
But spring will begin officially tomorrow. Fruit blossom already beginning to show...
