Every day at work I sign s statement that I am feeling well and can work. This oricess is repea4ed when I get to work. So it is twice.once when I check in. Once when I get screened Yesterday I called off. I have been working a lot.lately. my fatigue kevel was high Todsy I get a mote saying ny absence was unexcised and I.zm in troubke for it. Keep in mind this company has said they are nosr likely laying me off shortly.. I am mystified how I.can be out in this kind of double bind in a oandekic I.have had my issyes wirming fir ths cimosny bit this one taked the cake The good thing is that I am not amgry just perplexed. My guess, is that many companies are going to feel the sting of "wrongful termination" regarding firings during the pandemic soon. It is just a matter of time, IMHO.

Of course, perhaps this was just a written warning? Yes, it is a jerk move, but you can take it with a grain of salt... consider the source.

In the last couple of months my life has been consumed by issues rekatimg to .this virus. Not least of which was that I belie I got #it# early on. Neeldless to.say I.got #it# when I.was staying with a totally indifferent friend who offered me no assistance. Moreover I got #it# when I did not even have access ti a tyeleno because I was l UK ving outta a suitcase as I had bern displaced by a rennovation at my aoartmrent. My former roommate could hear ne coughing because you certainly could not ignore it. He did not even offer to bring ne a glass of water!! Firthermore he told nd numerous tines he could hear abd knew hiw sick I was. Now I believe my.former roommate is in a soecial category in forms of coldness and abject self absorption. It took superhumsn effort for be to recover from the Covid viris with no over the counter medicine accessible to me. Keep in mind this was before we all knew this #virus# was out there. To most people, including my riommate I had the #flu#. Nevertheless my.roommate (who I have known for 20.years) would not even bring ne a cup.of water when he most certainly knew I.was couging up a storm One of the company's I work for had to bas8cally lay everyonw off (basically hundreds of people who largely work part time). Their office staff ( who.has all worjed there fkr decades were all laid off). Today I got a link to one of the Operation Manager's facebook page. Last week he had a birthday party for his 3 year old daughtrr. There were about 15 people gathered in their home (none with masks on) The party was needless to say inside the home. The pctires are all of them sittjng side by.side having a good time with not a care in the world. Needless to say I am pretty much certain this #Manager# has not been firloughed lile everyone else has. That is like i will be in a week or so.at one day's notice from yet anothet job.. Making arrangenents to cover that eventuality took ne all day yesrerdsy and left ne completely exhausted. Now I have to.work 9.days straight to cover that reslity. Keep in mind this Operation Manager has very little to do at work becaude their business is large events. . The company has lost millions of dollars in business. They have a drop in the bucket of business compared to what they had nationwide I.am about to get up and go out with my mask and plastic gloves on. I am standing on my head every day with this pandemic. Jugglimg jobs, juggling the worry abd fear how will I make it through this recession. How wil i contort myself to get to any of.my goals (or should I just put them aside). My stress level has gone up dramatically I will be dealing all day with problems related to the oandemic. I hate wearimg a mask all day. I hate dealimg with social distancing. I.hate waiting in line at the bank. I.hate having to deal all day everyday all day with this issue. However despite mh extrsordinsty shortcomings I do. I have dealt with a lot of denial in the past decade wuth aloholism. Apparently denial comes in nany many forms. This Operations Manager is not some one who I thought would do this. This pandemic has increased the problems I have manifold. I already had plenty of priblems. Enough way rnough for me to deal with. I will have to now work even harder than ever to #let go# of all the frustrations and issues I have around this issue which is bot going sway. Quite frankly I think and know it is goimg to be really uphill all the way. Another uphill struggle to add to the other uohill struggles all of which are overwhelming . Maybe havng been in alanon it will mean that my detachment skillls will have to go into overdrive. I am jusr speechless today dealing with this befire I even eat breakfast!!! Maresie

I do not know this Operations Manager well. However lets face it they are all knee deep in.covid documentatim. Obviously none of them stuck wth.him. To top.it all off I.got another curveball to deal with. I.have a big bill to pay that will take all the money .i saved to try to move. I.should be on.the floor but I am dealng wth it. That is new for me. This has been.such a difficult year. One more curve ball. Maresie
