So .. LOL .. we have a dog who I thought had a lot of schnauzer in him however apparently has more chuchu in him. Being a responsible doggie mommy and it's been years since I have owned a dog and we were not the covid19 let's get a dog we were the pre covid19 of hey this looks fun let's do it .. I remind myself over and over not so much of a good way to make life choices.
This choice was not well thought through and there has been a lot of bickering in our home and I found myself doing a similar behavior that I had with my X regarding our children .. waiting for my partner to fix the situation and he just didn't. So, I laid out some options I was comfortable with and said pick something. We were between a dog walker coming in 3 - 4 times a week for some long walks and light training or doggy daycare ... We have found our groove at this point and things are very positive and I'm grateful for this, it was an example of my festering resentment waiting for someone else to take an action because I was worried about being controlling ... well .. sorry for ya .. no decision IS a decision and I have a right to feel comfortable and enjoy my home. It was not happening for a bit. The issue became we were all miserable and I can't live in a house that smells like animal pee. We don't have a traditional home we are currently in an apartment with a 5 year plan.
The pup is spoiled as bad as the kids are at this point .. lol .. that's ok .. he's very happy and healthy. We almost lost him when he was so little because of kennel cough. I was annoyed with our choice of vets which will change shortly after the kit kat gets her shots updated in Oct.
My original point to this story is sometimes what you think you get you don't. I thought we had a mostly schnauzer and my partner took him in to get groomed and get his first hair cut .. folks .. I have a chuchu that got his butt shaved and his winkey shaved .. basically he's got a Brazilian wax or something similar. If any women on here have had that experience the itching that's involved is so not fun .. so bless his heart for the past 2 weeks I have been getting the evil eye. LOTS of itching and jumping. I have laughed because he looks like a naked Chinese chuchu .. and that was NOT the intention. The woman who cut his fur will NEVER do it again. My partner has not helped with his grumbling and these are some of the statements I have heard the last several days that have sent me into hysterics.
I sent a real dog into the groomer and now I have a whatchamacallit.
I got on board with doggie daycare against my better judgment and now I'm afraid to send him back because the other dogs are going to make fun of him and his haircut.
I draw the line at dog therapy.
The cat has been laughing at him all day and now has no respect for him.
How did I get a rat dog this isn't what I ordered.
I hope he poops in your shoes because I didn't cause him this misery.
As I'm laughing hysterically at some comment before coffee I hear .. see .. your mother is laughing at you .. you need to rethink who your favorite is.
For my part I have been tagging him in pictures of naked Chinese chuchu's and he keeps telling me I'm not as funny as I think I am, with the caption of You can never unsee this now.
The bottom line is there are solutions to life's challenges .. some may be uncomfortable to act on for many reasons doing what is necessary for personal serenity is not always the easy answer.
