Hi y'all...  ...

                        -the mornings are getting cooler here- and i have my hoody on!

"Stream of consciousness" seems to work well... ...and to make use of the opportunity here- I say 'to claim space'.

Filling meetings full of rigmarole used to annoy me. I always preferred ESH, if possible. But groups need structure. and members need lots of space and time to learn to trust. A prerequisite...  ...a balance.

Went to my nearest f2f this week. There was a new member there from my home town [I think] which looks promising... ...but one day at a time!

I was tired at the meeting- wrung out. I had been for a trip across the mountains with a cousin. We had come upon a group of dirt bikers with one injured member. So we had to postpone our trail trip and pink this guy in the back of the truck. Take him out for medical attention.

I hate the sight of blood and stuff but there was very little of that. But by the time I got to the meeting I was pretty tired.

I like the idea that we offer to Alanon simply by attending. Being a part of this group- MIP Alanon has been a great boon!. I am thinking on the balls of my feet; more or less living in the present. 

Minding my own business, mostly- and not getting onto other people's case- which is a great illusion. Minding the case of my A. was the starter for this- and it is deeply ingrained.

I still focus on Tradition 5. I come this way through trads 1,2,3,4.

And step 12. I need to keep coming back to this point. I doubt that the steps are never really complete. I read the steps like the number of the clock. So they are never really much of a chore. Just a checklist.

Busy enough here- went to mindfulness last night. Doing choir work for Anzac Day, which is next month. and going to the RSA. They have made me the flag boy- at the cemetery, and at two services.

There was a time, long ago when I played the cornet or bugle. But no more. I work in with the bugler...

...just a ceremonial- but it essential that the timing is right.

In-time-acy... or being able to manage emotions. I get emotional at remembrance times, through my dad, uncles, grandmother, and grand-dads, and great-uncles who all served in uniform.

But i also look forwards- to the future for mokapuna- grandkids and their cousins... with some confidence.

Do i find my HP here? Well I find HP everywhere these days. I find it here, as well, of course.  ...

Still harvesting autumn fruit. The later fruit is tastier really...

When I hear the word "sharing" -- I think about the phrase, "You are only as sick as your secrets"

I think sharing takes on, does, and means, different things to different people. For me, I love hearing all of the alanon principles and slogans -- the same principles, th same mindsets, the same meanings and methodologies, etc. -- and hearing all of them so many different ways and from different perspectives!

     Bo... during my Step 11 this morning I came up with a little used one:

                              "Together we can make it."

My favourite is Concept 4, which really says the same thing- with a gentle twist:

                           "Participation is the key to harmony."
