As far as 'formal process' for a substitute, there isn't one. The informal process is a quick discussion within the moderators and then we go! It's always been our desire to keep things simple - I will make contact with the other moderators to see what best meets the needs of MIP and will circle back with the members. (((Group Hug)))

I am with PNP on this one....flashing back, triggering as I lost my BIL to this, but Betty is a fighter and we don't know if tumour(s) whether its one or a few, its different with all cases, and they wold not do Chemo if they didn't THINK she had a good chance..

that said, her BF wrote to me and he said that she would write to me when she was able to use her computer and he said he would TRY to drop me news when he could...I was so grateful to him for writing to me...Nice man!!! And I told him, just write when he can., I respected his need to be with Betty AND get some rest, or try to....so thats my news....He DID make it sound that she would write me WHEN not if, but WHEN she was in rehab and could use a computer....He said either he or she would reply to me......so I felt a bit more positive....

I will share anything I hear moving forward.....

I am so sorry to hear this news. . I have had my own share of health problems. Going through treatment is gruelling and courageous and requires so.much of oneself. Sending you strength and peace and love at this daunting time. I am sure all the groups that Betty is involved with are missing her presence. Betty has been involved with this particular group for a long time and her devotion got this group through many transitions with her signature practicality and iron determination. I know Betty's presence here wil be sorely missed. Betty carried the message with such grace and dignity and passion. Betty was and still is a passionate proponent of al anon. Talk about carry a message.Betty blazed an amazing vision of recovery, grace dignity, fierce loyalty and her incredible sense of style and vision was really dazzling . No one dressed for the occasion better than Betty no matter what it was. Betty relished every moment of her life in recovery and her personal vision of gratitude inspired me to do better . What s vision of inspiration for the rest of us with her exotic travels and her love and passion for New York. That was of course all based on her own personal transformation through the program which saved her from despair. . What a message for the rest of us who were uncertain whether the program would work for us. I have always admired Betty's grit and determination to overcome and rise above the nost difficult challenges anyone can be handed. If anyone can beat cancer Betty can. I hope Betty gets the time and space to take on this fight for her health. I know how hard it is to be hospitalized for a while. I am currently away from my home and I feel like I am without part of my being and sometimes pretty lost as a result of that. Sending you strength love and prayers to sustain you at this critical time dear Betty. You are loved and admired by so many. Your program had sustained and inspired so many of us. Thank you for gracing us with your passionate presence. Your passion for the program was so impressive. I know you have the tools you need to get you through this tremendous ordeal. Maresie
