Thank you, Betty, for today's reading. I have found that staying close to my program tools and practicing over the years has helped me become more "automatic" in being able to grab onto a tool when the need suddenly arises. Practice makes progress, if not perfection.

Happy Tuesday MIP! It's cold, cold, cold here - not my favorite but acceptance is an answer!!! Thank you Betty for the daily and your service. Thank you both for your shares and ESH. I too have learned that the best way for me to be reasonably consistent in life is to practice my program every day. I find that I don't have to spend hours on end 'doing recovery' but doing something each and every day to remind me that I am a person embracing recovery helps me 'see' a potential conflict before I am stuck in the middle....
All the things I heard in the beginning apply to my program today - prayer, meditation, literature, service - each day, one day at a time. While my days are far from perfect, I do feel more centered and strong when I practice, practice, practice and find more natural automation in carrying my toolbox and reaching in as needed.
Make it a great day all - I'm getting ready to climb under a blanket for a nap!!! (((Hugs)))

(((((((((Betty))))))))))) Thanks for your service.....oh yea, I can relate to the "we are on automatic" I was talking with my spiritual mentor about just this thing , how reaching out to , desiring a relationship with my HP within me is helping me be more grounded, in my body, and more mindful....yep...steps, slogans, principles...keeps me emotionally sober, ODAT!!!! and yea, step 10 is my daily!!!!
