Not a happy Sunday for me, but thanks to program Im not insane or codependent either. I also gave up the doormat club which my A hates. Its nothing new, it started last night and carried into this morning. Im stronger and coping better. I feel sad but Im OK too. My A says very hurtful things that at least now I understand are just said our of anger and frustration. I speak my truth but do not blurt things out to hurt or embarrass. Im using my tools, the Serenity Prayer and the 3 cs. Im going to be fine. I will walk outside with my dogs and enjoy the cloudy, cool, and breezy weather we are having at the moment. I can be OK no matter what the A is doing. Amen. Lyne

Sending you love, Lyne. I am sorry that today is not the best day for you.
But (and this is a big but!),
You are really working your program to it's fullest here with this post! Kudos for you! Give those pups a hug for me & throw them a ball (or two!).
Keep keepin' on!

(((Lyne))) - I too am sending you positive thoughts and prayers....I love the awareness you have in your share and hear you about the sadness, frustrations, etc. I often forget 'me' and my basic self-care when I am distracted by the antics of others - hoping you've been really good to you today - you deserve it!

Sending hugs to you Lyne. I can relate to not being part of the doormat club anymore lol. I like the wording of that. Hang in there. I admire your recovery and I hope today is a better day.

Lyne, I'm sorry that yesterday was a rough one for you. Those days certainly pop up and when things have been on an even keel, it throws me....because I am hit with how nasty it feels. You are working such a strong program and have such great self-awareness. Good for you and thank you for sharing with us. Every post helps us all!
Hugs,
Ellen

I have a supervisor at one of my jobs .
Every day it is this unrelenting spewing of negativity
This negativity is not addresses to me
I avoid her as much as I can .
Nevertheless there is no doubt she is much much worse
I put up with this kind of behavior in the ExA for years
Now I have little tolerance for it
That doesnt mean I say or do anything that will get me in trouble. I do not
But I was an u requited doormat for this kind of dumping all the time
