Sooo .. lol .. my X does the right thing and pays support it's currently sitting at the distribution center waiting for release .. it's not being released at the moment and no one knows why.
The conversations that have taken place make me LOL out loud because it's just so typical of this situation with the child support in my situation. I literally start calling Monday evening saying .. hey .. we have a problem .. to which I'm told no there's no issue .. it's your issue .. umm .. nope nope and nope. So Tuesday I follow up how I need to and cover all my bases before calling the distribution center back (this isn't even a government agency this is a 3rd party because nothing possibly could go wrong in this scenario). They told me again this was my issue and I corrected them and said no not on my end .. you need to start looking into this .. you have had my money since Saturday it's now Tuesday you will miss your deadline. They have 48 hours (business days) to release my money .. guess what .. it's Wednesday and no money. So I'm waiting for another phone call today to find out what's going on. It's not my issue it is theirs and I brought this up 2 days in a row that I have been doing this for 5+ years and I know when there is an issue. So I will be curious to know what the excuses are today when there is a phone call because I'm going to ask them to note my account the next time I say there is an issue I expect to be taken more seriously and what is the penalty for not releasing money in a timely manner .. can they get it to me today? I'm sure I know the answer to that however I am still going to put the system on the spot to see what the answer is. It's that issue with your emergency isn't my problem .. so whatever the breakdown was .. how are they going to keep it from happening this next week and going forward? I find that to be a reasonable question.
LMAO .. ok .. so .. breathe right? I am really blessed .. 4 years ago I would have been crying in the fetal position had this happened, honestly it would have devastated me financially .. the hardest part is it's not that much money on a weekly basis when you look at what we spend .. I am so grateful to be in the place I am .. it's not where I want to be .. man oh man .. it's soooo much better than where I was. We still are struggling however it's getting better. I have made better decisions, although not 100% yet .. they have been healthier choices. It's just frustrating to be doing the right thing and hit these life speed bumps and feel extremely frustrated by them. I don't expect life to be easy however good grief .. it seems like it's always harder than it needs to be and sometimes those are my choices .. however sometimes it's just stuff I can't control.
This whole powerlessness thing when it impacts me financially is a tough one for me .. I know if I keep pushing through I will get what I need. I know this isn't true .. however .. LOL .. I swear my X or his wife knows someone who works there and they go out of their way to cause issues for me because this is the 2nd time something weird has happened .. ugh.

Wow, that is very weird!! I have never heard of that third-party system so I can't relate... but I HAVE gotten that answer before from a company... "I't not our problem."
In those cases, I have won some and lost some. But, I have always stated my point about great customer service and how I didn't get that with the supervisor/VP etc. Did it ever make any difference? Probably not, but boy did it make ME feel better! LOL!

Hi Serenity, this sounds very frustrating! Something I've done when I've experienced really bad service from a company has been to find out who is the CEO -- the very top person (highest power??) -- at that company and write them a calm, factual letter listing what happened and the effect it had on me (example, I took a day off work to wait for a service person who never came). I sent the letter by postal mail, not email. A good business leader wants to know about flaws in their process, and I have gotten responses that way.
However this works out, it's good to see that you've got your tools of the program and are using them!

LOL PNP .. I swear I'm going to start a write in campaign of "FREE THE MONEY" .. LOL.
Freetime - the issue I am having is NO ONE wants to give any information and that's the frustrating part. So I am kind of stuck at the moment I think that will shake loose between today and tomorrow. Or at least I hope so, seriously this should teach me a lesson of even though it says the money is there it's not there until it's really there .. and I'm so mad at myself because I did budget so we didn't "need" the money however I saw it show up on Saturday and thought ok .. we are good I can get groceries and pay my car insurance Monday. NOPE. Thankfully .. I got my car insurance paid however it stressed me out big time. So once again a lesson is here for me when it comes to adulting.
As soon as I can I am absolutely getting names addresses and numbers because I will be sending a few suggestions about what's going on and I think I will just go ahead and send it to the circuit clerks office attention to my contact there with a request to forward my letter through their liaison so I can get a call back from someone else in charge. To ask the question .. how does this happen and I can't get a reasonable answer within a reasonable time. So I will wait until 2PM and call again and this time I will want someone above the current supervisor.
Anyway .. this is completely BIZZARO .. and that's putting it soooo mildly.
I'm really trying to just stay on my side of the fence and express myself in terms of not make it personal and yet make it personal in a positive way.

Sending positive energy for the Free Serenity's Money movement!!! What Freetime suggests is exactly what I did yesterday after an absolutely terrifying experience with a gas pump at a Nationwide Club. Essentially, the pump did NOT shut off, gas went all over the damn lot, it ran up my bill and the attendant who was closer to the action than I (I was cleaning my windshield with the tools they provide) was too busy talking with another to mark the pump, help me get into my car, make a note of the issue, etc. Actually, the lovely attendant (been praying for her since yesterday) had the nerve to say I was at fault and must have done something wrong. If there was ever a time for me to pray for serenity and closed lips, it was then and I did! I did go home after going through 4 car washes and write a professional, fact-filled letter to Corporate.
I am powerless over many, many things....however, when I am nudged to take action, I feel compelled to do so. My car still smells like a gas station pump and I am hopeful that nobody that smokes lights up around it. My whole day went like this yesterday, wouldn't it be grand if only one unpleasant event happened? Love, love, love the serenity prayer at times like these!!! (((Hugs)))

Wellll there was finally resolution .. apparently someone got the check from court and this is a city clerk's office .. and inputted it in as a personal check. That flagged the system to put a hold on it because of the amount. Anything over 2k. Ok I can live with someone making a mistake here's where I'm not impressed and I kindly explained this to the supervisor. One thing I was not impressed with was the fact that when I phoned on Monday I was told to call back in 48 hours. Then I was told to call my attorney on the case and they could get more information .. yes I'm going to pay my attorney more an hour to collect less total money lol. No. I laughed needless to say. The young gal Monday was not helpful and I explained this .. I also mentioned that young woman was very fortunate this was not 4 years ago because I'm not in the same place I was .. yes I'm upset over the fact having the courts involved was suppose to ease the issue of money .. So this was like revisiting my ex. While I understand they don't help explain court dockets and things of that nature .. there at least needed to be movement forward when someone says there's an issue. A little more compassion as well as some basic questions answered. So they have 48 hours to release money and I couldn't get anyone on the phone to help me for the first 36 hours and then I did the leg work. It was hours of my time this week and I didn't appreciate it. Now this was after I was informed that I wasn't getting money for another 48 hours and I said no. Lol. Seriously speaking I am laughing to myself because they don't realize who I am I guess. The manager who helped me was very sweet and gave me her direct line. So at least I have a place to start. Which I hope I never need to use it I feel better knowing I can. She also called me tonight at home and let me know my money has been released and I'm getting it tomorrow lol. So this is good lol. Latest game for him is this, .. he sent me an email that stated he was going to "try" to send money on Thursdays' ok fine .. whatever .. the point is if it's not going to be on Thursday at least say .. missed Thursday this is the plan for this week .. LOL. I'm honestly waiting for him to loose his mind at this point .. it's just SOOOO NOT MY ISSUE .. this is all his making .. so that's on him. Very simple on Thursday to say .. hey S .. I'm very sorry I didn't make it today .. however this is when I plan to go. Whatever else is going on .. a. Not my business and b. Not my problem. Figure it out as he used to say to me.
If he sends back a rude message I will just pocket it away .. it is what it is at this point and I'm not going to worry about it.
My next stressor is my mother has announced she's coming in December (not November because she's on a trip then .. LOL!!! I did laugh out loud at that one. It's always followed by how much she misses us and why she can't come see us .. I'm just whatever at this point. Honestly I don't see it happening.) So until she's stated she's purchased the ticket which she won't because it will be my fault I have no doubt .. LOL .. I'm just going to let it ride.
Can we say full moon and Friday the 13th month .. I'm waiting for Jason to jump out of my closet at some point during the day.
Funny story of having a uterus and men, .. so this is a case of are you scratching your watch and winding your butt. Common sense has left the building. We take youngest to school on Friday's because he needs to be there early .. well that didn't go so well today .. we did try .. I was ordering him breakfast via a mobile app because we were in a hurry. So my darling honey says honey how about you just walk across the parking lot and get your coffee I will get you after we get the food. Ok. Well .. I get my coffee and it was drama and trauma .. my smart phone was not smart .. LOL .. so it took me at least 10-15 min to get coffee. Well .. moving on from there I'm waiting .. no honey no son .. ok. So I call .. and he's telling me they are still waiting on food ..umm .. this isn't rocket science and I managed not to say that as I was irritated .. LOL .. I did ask .. soooo .. at what point has someone, either of you gone into McD's and asked .. where's the food .. it was literally hash brown and an egg mcmuffin. There's two able body people there and I'm 5 min away at the moment with 2 cups of very hot coffee. He can tell I'm like really .. lol. So he did go in and I know he was distracted doing something else be it on his phone or he's smoking so he is now irritated .. now me .. I would have sent boy in. That's me and how I think. Seriously .. why do I even have to say anything what is up with these two. So apparently because I have the said uterus I am able to multitask however they can't make one decision/choice that the food hasn't shown up with 2 brains between them. I really wanted to make the statement .. Good Lord what would you do if I wasn't here wait for another 20 min before saying .. hey where's the food and by the way .. where's mom??

OMG .. LOL .. this just gets weirder and weirder .. so my paycheck was shorted by a significant amount of money for me .. it was just under 100$ .. I have to ask .. what is the lesson here and why is this showing up all at the same time. The disbursement unit taking way longer than they should have to release money .. now my X hasn't paid money .. and then my check is short.
I am sooooooo grateful I am ok. It's not fun. The bills are paid .. the bills will be paid next week and everything will be on the right track going forward. I'm like seriously .. the God of my understanding thinks He's funny .. LOL .. and the reality is .. I really don't find Him funny in the least.

LOL .. I am blaming the full moon.
I managed to forget my badge for work today, then I left my lunch in my honey's truck (he turned around and came back .. lol), then my work computer blew up .. ugh!!! I mean it was making noises it shouldn't have .. now I have 4 more gigs of ram in it woo hoo.
Now I get to close out a program I HATE and that's my job .. LOL!
Anyways, it's been entertaining to say the least.
Oh yes, I did hear from my X and it seems as if the wife has a tight reign on him after his last little explosions via email .. that behavior is totally what he was like the week he got married and the decree wasn't signed .. LOL .. I mean just random threatening crazy stuff. He wasn't going to send support. He was running away to Chile. He wouldn't ever see the kids again. Blah blah blah .. diseased speaking big time. So when I talk about pre divorce behavior this is him at his craziest. I wonder what she thinks when she sees his responses to my very reasonable request for information I mean the mail I originally sent and he responded like a crazy person who was high/drunk? He is def baiting me though and I'm going to just let him vs me having the last word .. I'm ok with that .. LOL. After all he who speaks last can also be the most foolish. Now it's the money will be there on Friday's as long as he's collecting disability. He will be off work for 10 weeks. He will pay me as long as the disability continues to come in .. oookkk .. don't know what that means outside of to try to continue to keep me off balance .. which NOPE .. I got this. I will insert eye roll now. I know what he wants me to do, .. he wants me to ask .. he wants me to pass on information and you know .. nope .. not my business. I'm just riding it all out at this point. Soooo .. I'm just going to breathe through it. I will probably just send the same response I sent the last time in a few days. There's no hurry after all and I really may not need to respond .. I will just pray about it.
