Lost an uncle to cancer last night. He's in another country and I knew he was dying for the last 2 months. So I've been thinking a fair bit about death and life lately. I know he's got his angels on the other side and that his life was torture due to the family disease of which he was a double winner. I'm glad he's found his release from this life, I hope he was not scared and that love surrounded him as he crossed over. Death is so final and so deeply spiritually profound. You can't JADE death when it comes. Life in many ways reveals perspective when a loved one goes.
I will miss knowing this man was physically present on earth. I will try to look out for his daughter. She was his one joy in life.

Thank you both. I don't know how to describe this feeling. Its just sad. Sad. Lots of mind photos from childhood. I was always happy to see him. Even as an adult.

Oh, so sad A41... good to remember an uncle who left indelible memories.

(((a4l))) - I am so very sorry for your loss. You are so correct that in death, we come to realize we will not see that person again on this 'side'! It does feel so final and grief is real. I have realized as I have aged and we've lost several family members and close friends that each person wears grief differently, and there is no right/wrong way.
I love that you have fond memories from your time with him and that you are planning to keep an eye out for his daughter. I so agree with Skorpi - sounds like a lovely way to honor him.
