Today my A is in a snit and guess what? I've decided to have a good weekend regardless. The sun is out, I am healthy, nobody has died, and I believe I can cope and have a good attitude. Thank you alanon! Lyne

Great job concentrating on YOU Lyne!! You are so right! In my neck of the woods, the sun is out, everything is still fresh from the storms, and temps are like Spring! Why not make our weekend a good one!
Peace to you!

Thanks Lyne for the share and the ESH. The sun is shining here too and we actually have temperatures higher than 30 degrees - yahoo! I am always inspired when I hear how it works and appreciate your bringing it here too! Keep doing what you're doing!

Lyne. Short and sweet. I love your attitude. I am not responsible for other peoples bad days. I just go about my day and I make it a good one, or try to anyway

Thanks lyne! This is a great reminder that I don't need to absorb another's negativity. Blehhh! That just reeks of toxic waste of my valuable time. It's minus nine degrees here but it is sunny lol. I can choose the bright side. Snow coming too! It's going to get even brighter. When it snows... make snow angels. My A was snarky yesterday too. I put on my headphones and left his attitude with him. Later came the apology for "his part." Ya know every once in awhile I actually don't have a part and this was one of those times. I nodded to acknowledge having heard him, put the headphones back on and back to enjoying music. Then later I spoke with him as if nothing happened. A little time and space and he'd had an attitude adjustment. When I was new to the program, I seemed to need to let the other person know they couldn't speak or act toward me in certain ways. I believed to not verbally confront was sending a message that I accept unacceptable behavior. Today I know actions speak louder than words. As long as my motive is clean and my actions are self care motivated and not retaliatory, I've taken care of my serenity and sanity as well as kept my side of the street clean. Thanks for the positive Alanon message. Great to read how you used our program to make a choice that honored your own feelings. ((hugs)) TT
