#1 kind "hit on me" when I see in another, something I don't like, I have to do a step 4 or at the very least a 10, Am I seeing a bit of me in them???? Usually the things we react to, positive or negative, is related to our own traits....I am kind so I gravitate to kind people....I HATE liars because growing up I had to lie to hide all the dirty secrets in that house, I craved honesty, even when little but was beaten if I even tried it...."don't talk, don't admit our business, Lie if the police /welfare people ask the wrong questions" oh yea, I remember clearly the deception and lies we kids had to embrace....it was survival of the fittest.....I look at others and its kinda fun to "people watch" because I can learn a lot about me if i pay attention, observing them......seeing traits in others , the ones I react to or get a trigger from, its time to go back to the steps and work it out............

I'm really enjoying your Tidbit shares Rose, thank you so much for bringing them here.
I agree that number one, Carl Jung's quote, is interesting - a great reminder to check in with myself first.
Number two appeals to my playfulness and reminds me that this aspect of 'me' needs care as well.
I'm not sure I can measure up to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and am fairly sure that sometimes I will need to explain, if only to myself, why I got something wrong.
I give my best as much as I can, but it doesn't always come back to me from the direction that expected!!
Erich Fromm sounds sensible!
Thank you for the opportunity to pause and think about these quotes. Have a good day.
