Today's reading is about Step 5 - Admitted to God, to myself and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
The writer realizes there is a reason and purpose that God is first in this step. In theory and practice, God does know who we are, where we are going, where we have been and will lead and guide us well beyond these steps if we are willing and open.
Sharing our thoughts and truth with God, self and other trusted people when making decisions helps us take action on the answers we receive and to keep moving forward.

Many, many days when I read and contemplate the daily messages, I stand or sit in awe at our program. When I consider the facts in front of me that other imperfect humans before my time got together and created this program of recovery - I see one of many miracles. Not only did they create our recovery program, but the steps, the traditions, etc. - all of which keep us grounded, humble and with one primary purpose. Nobody's in charge, all are equals and we are each asked to do the exact same thing - get honest, clean house and help others. A simple premise for a profound life change.
It is the 12 Steps that brought freedom to me from the bondage of myself. Most of what affected me negatively from this disease was nothing short of my own self-will running wild. I had a/n (distorted) view of how life, love, others should be and when reality was vastly different in real time, I did not have the tools or honesty to consider the issue may lie within me.
Today, as shared in this writing, the answers for what's next really do come from within through my HP. I have been told that acceptance is the answer to my problems and it's necessary whether I like 'it' or not. Today, I am grateful that I can accept that which I don't like and trust in my HP and this program that it's just a part of 'life' and not all about me.
Happy Thursday to one and all - make it a great day! I am 'adulting' today - cleaning and what not around the house. I have softball tonight and am resting my shoulder/back a bit. We have storms projected for later and could use the rain! Enjoy your day...

Good Morning I AH Love this Step as it states so clearly what i need to do. -"ADMIT "- what I clearly know and had denied my entire life.
Once I developed a faith in the Power greater than myself, I was given the courage to look within and acknowledge many of the defects i knew were there but had no way of shedding . Program promised relief if I worked the Steps
This Step not only asks that I be honest with God(rather easy in my book) but with myself (harder) and finally another person(hardest of all). I love how the reading points out that such sharing helps us to take action on the inspiration we receive .
There is/ was nothing in life that did confound me and although I did not receive all i had desired I was given the wisdom and courage to handle them with dignity.
