I finally made my trip to visit my kids, granddaughter, and mom for a month+! Of course when I got home I am still playing catch up inside and out too now that the weather has a few warm days. I have to get a few acres planted and help finish a fence we are in the process of putting up. Sooooooooo, the busy isn't going to slow down. Wake up, alone time with HP and get busy all over again.
I used the tools I learned here during my visit and wow, what a wonderful time with all the family. It was great just letting everyone be and listening, while playing and on the go. I was also totally relaxed and not into the squirrel cage of trying to give advice, or more so worry about everyone's issues with each one I visited.
The AF.........My husband blew big time on her when she tried to manipulate him the first few days I was gone. He felt horrible about it yet I don't blame him. The rules are still the same. No less than 5 meetings a week or leave. She tried to tell him she thought she would one or two a week lol. And, she also hadn't done the job he paid her to do. I followed up with a text telling her I was gone to visit family and still dealing with her crap..........along with.......we would be giving her an eviction notice on paper, we were done. We stood our ground, she apologized on the text and I just responded, "yeah, we've heard that too many times before." It ended there.
This has now been over a month ago, she's been going to 5-6 meetings a week and living the program! She also did a good job for the first time since living on the property and has kept it up. I've seen her in person once for app 10 minutes and all she could talk about was AA. The boundaries are concrete and we have our lives back. I pray she keeps this up but if she doesn't, the program has allowed me to detach enough, there will be no emotional ups and downs with an eviction if it comes to that.
Even tho it's been a long time, you're all just so awesome!! I've thought about you and prayed for you. So grateful for this program and the changes it's made in my life!

Hi HR! LOVE your photo!!!!! I've missed you too! *smh* I still cannot believe how fast the time went...........it's like looking up and and just amazed it passed like it did.
One thing I did learn........time can pass enjoying it or pass while in a fog of unhealthy junk. I guess it's been so long since having fun, I had forgotten that happens lol.

Hello Tude-Good news is so wonderful. I too, find when I use my tools it's a better day and life in general. I still need to practice, practice, and practice , and never forget that I am a work in progress. Great to hear your share, Lyne

Lyne, I feel I will be a work in progress my entire life. Those old "wake up calls" are still happening :) It would be so boring if we ever really "arrived." What an odd thought there lol. Hugs

So excited Spring is here I can hardly contain myself. Snow for a couple hours yesterday, 65 today. Crazy weather but so much better than the deep freeze every night.
