I hope everyone enjoyed their easter weekend in whatever way you chose to celebrate it. I worked every day of it. I'm not complaining. I'm grateful to still have a job to go to. I work as a part-time attendant in a transition home for men in recovery from addictions. Whenever one of them completes our program and re-integrates back into society, we call him a successful completion. Assuming of course that he doesn't relapse and return for another go at it. I work there partly because I once lived there. Today is actually 20 years since I became a successful completion. I'm grateful to have been given the second chance, and I'm grateful to have been a member of alanon for so long because the tools I learned here are of great use to me working there. I think I'm just grateful, period.

Wolfie - congrats. on your lovely success in recovery, one day at a time! I can hear your gratitude and applaud the service you do - calling it 'work'... Love the authentic shares you bring here and am tickled pink of how you work it and give back.
I hope you too had a lovely weekend - Easter and/or all. We had a different than typical holiday and that's exactly how HP designed it. No worries, no hurries - I actually spent the entire day in fuzzy pajamas as we had cold weather + some snow! It was nice to not be hurried and/or expected elsewhere. God is good!!!
Enjoy today too - just as any other day! It does work when we work it!

Brother I second what Iamhere says. You are a successful completion with the numbers in need that you touch with your recovery plus those like myself who wish to duplicated it. (((hugs)))

Work is good Wolfie. I did some spring cleaning yesterday. It was a good day for it. Now that I am done for now I feel a sense if relief. But for you I see re recovery which is good
What a blessing it must be being able to work somewhere you were in recovery for. I hope working there brings you much satisfaction as I can see it would. Keep coming back!

You have so much to be grateful for...and thank you for posting this.
I too am grateful...for the healthy people in my life...and for the unhealthy and occasionally evil person, I am grateful that I am so keenly aware of them, I can avoid them and not let them infiltrate my life. I am grateful that they are so obvious to me -- manipulation, passive aggressive, deflection, denial, baiting, shifting, gaslighting, and so much more...sound familiar? LOL. Probably does.
I am so aware of these people, and they are so obvious to me, I can avoid them without impacting them, or me, and without anyone knowing anything.
Thanks again for the attitude of gratitude and the gratitude reminder.
