I haven't given up on myself & my own recovery. Today is a better day! I will try to focus on this day only. I am grateful for an alanon friend & her daughter coming over to color easter eggs at my place. Not too many come inside my house unless I am up for it. It also depends who it is. I am feeling more confident in my mental health as well. Last Friday night I called the crisis line. The lady said call your therapist. OK so it is Friday night after hours. I ended up getting help from a program friend. She was going through lots of stuff to talk to me & get out of herself. Come to find out the lady on the crisis line had the same name as my friend. Strange huh? Even stranger was that I was getting ready to text & the phone rang! I guess my friend needed me as well.

Hugs, (((Hoot Nanny))), I hope you have a good time with those Easter eggs. Its good to hear you are feeling better today. I also sometimes find someone contacts me just as I am about to contact them, this usually happens with my mom. Some kind of connection, looks like it.

HootNanny, so glad to hear how you're not giving up! Program friends are so wonderful. I've often thought that therapists are great, but we can usually only see them once a week. Al-anon is here for us 24/7/365, especially when we have a phone list and internet sources like MIP. We truly are not alone, and even better when we help each other. Happy Easter, I bet the eggs will be beautiful.

Sometimes I get what I pray for. Coloring eggs was fun! I got to experience it from a child's point of view. She did most of them. She did a lot of stickers & such. Anyhow sometimes I wish she was my daughter but she has a wonderful mom. I prayed for a good place for my mom. Hopefully she gets placed close to me but not in the same town. I am unable to see her or talk to her by choice. It hurts too much. I did make it through last night w o a crisis call. I guess I am more stable today. If last night was an indicator of how its going to be like I am very satisfied.

Kathleen - glad that you enjoyed the egg coloring and last night was good. One day at a time is such a good strategy!! (((Hugs)))
