Well I was in there & didn't know how to respond. Can anyone tell me how? I want to go back in there.

I don't know how yo communicate I can't figure how to respond or share.

What do you do after you type?

I was up before 6 am so I thought I would check it out. I just wanted to share that it was my first time. One if the topics was the 3 A's. I noticed it was my post yesterday.

you can hit the enter key

Betty is correct - if there's a meeting, use the ! to raise your hand and the chair person will call you when it's your turn. If it's just open chat, just type what you want to say in the dialogue box and hit enter. I've not been there for a while, but the chat is often all-topics and/or off-topic. The meetings, as in F2F, is usually one person at a time.

sorry hoot i didn't get back .. i had to leave unexpectedly and in a hurry .. glad betty and i am were able to come in and answer .. do you have a rectangular box that shows up when you click on Alanongroupmeeting/chatroom at the top of this page (forum) left side list ? probably understood what they meant .. when you click that and it opens then yup just type in any name and hit enter .. the chair will usually walk newcomers through from there once they are in the room

I had to go to the chat room on my phone to see what you meant. After you type your message on your phone, hit the "go" button on your phone keyboard to send it into the room. Took me a minute to figure it out, too, but was probably easier with an empty room and no distractions. LOL
