Oh my! My mother is starting something again. Over & over. I am beginning to think that she doesn't live me or is capable of loving me anymore. I have taken so many emotional beatings in the last few years. I know she is sick but do I have to be dragged along w her? Some ESH us needed. I am desperate.

(((Kathleen))) - so sorry that you are affected by the actions/illness of another. It does seem to feel more painful when it's family - so I believe. My go to when I am affected and feel a bit blocked from my HP is, "Bless Them, Change Me"....I have said this many, many times over and over again until I can practice letting go! I too am sending you some positive thoughts and prayers.

((Hoot Nanny)) Im glad you are here and Im glad you shared. I too felt unloved by my mom and still do sometimes, although Im getting better at not allowing my feelings to consume me for as long as they used to. It was suggested I pray to see my mom the same way the HP of my understanding saw her. I prayed every day for a long time and then one day my resentment was replaced with compassion. I could finally see her as an imperfect human who has been effected by the family disease of alcoholism, just like myself. Every day I seek a deeper conscious contact with HP, something I didnt have before program. All I know for sure is it works if we work it :)
