I saw this posted on another site and it really got me to thinking that it isn't just a coincidence that my tiny house sits right next to a dove aviary! I hear them all the time!
Dove:
"The Dove represents peace of the deepest kind. It soothes and quiets our worried and troubled thoughts, and enables us to find renewal in the silence of mind. In these moments of stillness we are able to appreciate the simple things in life.
If dove flies into your life, you are being asked to go within and release your emotional disharmony, be it of the past or the present. Dove helps us to rid trauma stored within our cellular memory."

Thank-you for sharing this! Where I live, we have a lot of Mourning Doves (Which I learnt today are not "morning"Doves, as I thought it was spelt). The other day while out on a break, one flew near us. It was an odd color to what I had seen in the past. Almost white. Which I thought it was odd, and 2) it is winter they all should have flown away by now, so I thought.
In the brief seconds that I had seen it, the words..."on the wings on a snow white dove" came out of my mouth. I had no idea where that came from!! The Gal I was with said, I haven't heard that song in forever. Baffled and confused. I carried on with my day, not paying anymore attention to that, until I read this!!
So I googled!! When I played the video attached to the lyrics....major flash back! My grandpa, he listened to Ferlin Husky! I can hear him singing those exact words!!
Now reading this today!! "If dove flies into your life, you are being asked to go within and release your emotional disharmony, be it of the past or the present. Dove helps us to rid trauma stored within our cellular memory."
Thank-you so very much, I needed this today more than I can express.

Curlyblu - what a cool association you had with the dove!! I loved hearing the story, and I believe it was your grandpa visiting you and "helping" you to find peace. This quote for 'The Dove' came to me on a day that I really needed it as well!! Glad that it is making others happy as well!
Peace to you!

OMG....(((PnP))) I HAVE a dove..A pet...I was in the feed store, looking around and fell in love with this lovely charmer, ring neck, actually two of them..it was spring and I rescued both of them as owner was so old and getting out of the business, not taking care of the place, so I took both of them home
One was thrilled to be with me and the parakeets..the other dove was not happy...I tried to be patient..wait..lets see if he/she "comes around" but he/she did not...So I gently took him/her into my hands and I walked out the patio door and I opened up my hands and gave my friend the option to stay in my gentle hands or fly away and find his/her own happy place...he/she paused..looked around and you could see the head perk up, wings kinda "fluffed up" and then he/she flew up and into a tree and coo'd at me as if to say "thanks for doing the right thing"...I said "no problem"
the other dovey, lets me pet him/her and coos at me when I come into the kitchen and we "talk" and he/she loves the parakeets..They share a huge cage by the sliding glass door , in the kitchen and THIS dove is a happy camper..eats like a hog and sings like an angel.....when he/she is coo'ing and the parakeets are chirping, I just love the sound..........
