C2C reading for today speaks about the 3rd step in addition to the the definition of insanity. I love this explanation of insanity as it described my reaction so well. It suggests that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is insanity and offers the 3rd Step as a successful remedy to this process. Deciding to turn our will and life over to the care of HP provides alternatives. Please note that the step suggests that we turn our life over to HP's care-- That gave me courage to take the risk.
Enjoy the day

Happy Saturday Betty and thank you for the daily and your service! I also love that the 3rd Step suggests we make the decision to turn our will and lives over to the care of ..... As I grew more confident in recovery, I realized that the imperfect element of 'me' will at times try to manage things and then I'm gently reminded to make that decision over again! The first time I read this step, it scared me as I was looking at it through my unhealthy thinking mode - fearful I would not be successful if I didn't do it 'perfectly'.
Today, I can use this step and all steps/tools as my life unfolds around me. Anytime I am uncertain or restless, I know now that my HP will lead me if I just ask. Asking for help from HP and others was so hard to learn to do yet I improve with practice, practice and more practice.
I hope you are also having a great day!

Wonderful,insightful shares,
Thank you both,
I had this on my mind all day before I read it in ctc,
It's a slow process for me to learn insanity,
I'm grateful I have a hp to turn to when I have feelings of fear,
I've been down this road of insanity time n time again,
Since my recovery I've learned I was doing the same things over n over ,expecting diff.results.
As a result I only got stomach problems,
Since recovery I feel freed from it all,
My sanity is returning.....hugs...lu

Oh yea, insanity...boy it took me a while to "get this" into my head that if plan A don't work, switch to plan B..Quit beating my head against the wall...I am doing it pretty regularly now....if nothing is working??? I just step back...I only turn my life and my will over to my inner , higher self and when i can get QUIET, which is a job, sometimes, for me, I usually come up with what I need to do to get the results I need.......thank you for posting this...I needed to see this today....and Thanks for your service......Hugs ((((Betty))))
