Have not been here for a while, but just wanted to say hi. This whole year's major AA/alanon work was all about working on anger and developing more patience to not snap qhen I feel slighted or condescended to. I didn't know those were defects that were so bad until it started biting me in the ass.
Otherwise, things are OK. I am feeling a little burnt out and cooked from working in the rehab industry. I may change and go back to working with juveniles.

Hi Pinkchip,
Wow.. you must be telepathic. Honestly, I was just thinking of you this morning when I came to the board and wondering what ever happened to you and how you are doing. Great to see you again. Hope you'll keep coming back to share your es&h with us. Glad things are going ok for you! Thank for sharing your imperfect self with the rest of us imperfect folks. ((hugs))) TT

Aloha Pink and welcome back to the board. Not good to hear about a burn out seriously. In your industry that take a very negative toll on both sides of the room. I thank God I didn't leave ashes and continue to meet former clients who are doing really well. It works when we work it. Keep coming back. (((hugs)))

Pink, it's good to see you again. Take care of what you need to do for you (as you know and tell your clients).

I have had a few interviews. One would be a regional director of all mental health services across most juvenile detention centers in South Florida. Another is with a large community mental health center. The regional thing would definitely make me have to work on my coda issues again, as happily married life has made me so I forgot how to do things like brush my teeth and wash myself without spousal prompting (ok...that was an exaggeration but it is sorta like that lol).

Been thinking of you so much! Mwah.
I hear you about anger. That's been a two year or three year journey for me, today its the occasional flare met with calm self discipline.
So happy to see you again!

Mark, it is so good to "see" you! We miss you and your wisdom. But taking care of yourself is most important even if that means rationing your time. Any place that was lucky enough to hire you would benefit, so I hope you can find the right fit in jobs and not risk burnout. Take care of our Mark for us!

Hey Mark...Missed you....I am doing EFT tapping therapy to get , root out all my deep defects like what you mentioned....I relate to the anger and "not snapping when I feel slighted or condescended to" Oh boy can I relate to you on that.....I have to keep telling myself its their issue (after I do a check in on me) and not to take their crap on as my own....leave it in their yard........
