this morning the doctors told the girls Jane was imminent and they would give her one more morphine to make sure there was no pain They didn't have to drug her..She , when her breathing mask was pulled off, barely fluttered her eyes and she passed away peacefully....
Thank you ALL for your loving prayers and your well wishes...My sister now rests in peace with my Cousin Edith and my brother Charles....No more suffering..For that I am thankful
She and I, both feisty spirits, had sometimes a rocky relationship as you saw on facebook, but we were and always will be SISTERS...Funny, WE could fight each other, but let another attack one of us and the other would go at the person full fury.
We shared a passion for the horses..When I was 4 years old, she picked me up and tossed me on this rather fierce looking paint horse and told me "bareback and rope halter--you're not just gonna learn how to ride, but you will be the best" and she made me ride...I did become very accomplished with horses thanks to my sometimes "hard" mentor, but she wanted me to be able to handle any situation astride a horse and I could
She was the one who would make me get up and kiss my fears and "do it afraid" but DO IT!!!
Lots of things I can take forward that she taught me...Loyalty is #1..Be loyal to your loved ones...Honesty..Yep..Up there with Loyalty..God knows you are lying so why be dishonest to humans??? and oh yea, she was so very forgiving...
I would get angry and unfriend her and then end up missing her and PM her and say "Hey..Lets fight this out, whatever, but lets be together..I'm sick of being an orphan" She was always there to take me back and NEVER did she toss my tantrums in my face..She loved me AS IS and for sure, NO RETURNS...She had the patience of Job...The loyalty and love and forgiveness of Jesus and I know now, where she is, soon as she unpacks, I know she is gonna be seeing our brother Charles and our Cousin Edie...Aunt Harriett and Uncle Dick are there, too...
Jane may you rest in peace and may the horses "up there" be sensible enough not to mess with you...I'll see you soon and the FIRST thing I want for us to do is go for a looong trail ride like we used to do when younger...You taught me much good things...I give you my word, I will share the good you taught me with others...You will never be really gone..Just in another place...And always in our hearts....Bye Bye, Jane ....I'm gonna miss our laughter, our intimate sharing and even our fights.....<3 you always....

Hi everyone!!! Thank you so much for your kind words of comfort...My heart hurts more then I though it would given our "difficult" at times relationship, but I always knew she loved me no matter what...I am glad I have you all here to share with....My girls are gonna send me a necklace with some of her ashes in it...Also I bought her a little blanket that had a poem about "Sisters" she liked her blanket...it sits on her bed, but she never made it home to snuggle with it again....my girl is there and she is gonna make sure I get "our blankie" back so I can wrap it up and keep it with her scent on it......I will store it with my lovely valantines day card she sent me, this past Vday...it was so beautiful and full of love......We had such a horrid past, its little wonder we had struggles in our sisterly relationship...Even though she believe me, what the monster did, she was torn...SHE had a "OK" relationship with him...I had a nightmarish one....One of our last real conversations we had was her telling me she believed me and that she was so sorry that such evil could befall me...she even said , though it hurt her for me to "out him" with the family and why I was going into recovery, she was glad I did it to save my life....
After being in recovery for a few years, I could see her side in this....shock...disbelief...."NO, he could NOT have done THAT" but she knew he did, she revealed to me that one night when she was visiting from CA where she lived with my bro in law, she caught the beast trying to get into my room...She chased him away..Told him to leave me alone...I did not know this until she told me THIS year.....she believed me and understood my issues...why i coped with things the way I did...She even said, at this late stage, "I want to be a support" but she was failing in her health, I just kept it at a minimum because I would rather keep that ugly stuff in the recovery rooms....she finally understood my fears and triggers, etc.....All I ever wanted was to be BELIEVED....and SHE did!!!! yea, we had our difficulties and I "credit" that to , yea, He didn't do that to her, but the mother's raging drinking and the entire dysfunctional family....SURE it impacted her...It impacted ALL of us...She even told me they were the most screwed up people and never should have had any children....she sort of apologized to me for not only having to go through the drunken, dysfunctional BS, his getting out guns and shooting at kids hot rodding down the road past our house etc. but the additional hell I had to go through...She finally supported my being in recovery "tell all you got to so you can dump all this evil in the garbage" was her words to me....the LAST two years we had together, sorta was a "amend" for all the darkness that was in that family...She was no longer mad at me for finding other parents and denouncing the original ones.....Yea, I do think that love over rode the evil ------FINALLY!!!!!

Grateful hugs for all of you!!! and grateful for my program.....This pain shall pass!!!!! Later, I may just take a walk and observe the LIFE around me.......I am so grateful that she and I were able to come together and enjoy our love for each other this past two years and that I have my recovery family........Talk with you all soon....

Well another goodbye..My doctor is moving to Waco, into another field, but when I went to see her this am, she said she took special care to match me up with an associate of hers so will go to see her in Oct. for a "get to know you" visit...
I've been with Dr. "S" for 15 years, and I admit...when she hugged me, I broke down and cried...told her about losing my dear sister Jane, and now losing my wonderful doc. who has taken care of me so well.....Since Tuesday, I feel like half of me is gone...Gonna hit some tennis and take it easy.....Next week will be a light work week and I need it...
Hope all of you are doing ok....My grief will heal and I will go on, but I will always feel like a portion of me is gone....I will always miss Jane...It sucks not having a sister anymore....Just saying

Hi Rose I do understand the "Missing" Then one day I discovered that the person and the memories were still deep within and I could visit with them as often as I liked That helped tremendously.
