2017 has been the year from hell and I could simmer in that and "woe is me" on that and make it WORSE if that is of my choosing, but I choose to find the roses amidst this "manure" ladened year
Grateful for:
I made my peace with my sister, on my own, reached out and forgave and established some sort of "OK" relationship with her so when she passes there will be no regrets on my end
My daughter dearest is clean over 5 years and going strong with her own little business
I have two lovely puppies (1 is so ugly he is cute- AND already barking at people, while the little black lab is more mellow, but cautious, good house pet, not mischievious like the little male, but both have good potential to be #1, good friends #2, protection)
Speaking about the puppies, i see their skin conditions are flea allergies and not the dreaded mange I was afraid of..my special "mamalioness" bath solution is helping their skin not look so angry...fleas are decreasing out in the yard, too.....
I can be thankful that there is a new guy enquiring about my services ( i am cert. pub. bkkpr) and MAYBE i'll start with him in August????
I am grateful that I have the worlds best sponsor and the best friend i ever had in my entire life....chatted with her this am and got bolstered up to start my day just having fun and putting out positive energy
grateful that my other bestie who lives near me is responding to her new MS medicine and is actually walking with her cane and maybe I can actually go visit and get her out of the house.....
grateful that at my age, I can still beat 30 year olds on the tennis court and play basketball with teenagers and keep up with them shooting baskets....
thankful that I am in great health, save for the gad/ptsd which 90% of the time I can manage with good food...rest...exercise...water...meditation...reaching out for TLC when needed....doing self talk....LOTS of things I can do to care for me and ease my symptoms
grateful that despite a crappy work week, my bills are current and my fridge and pantry are STUFFED with good foods
yea, my tuesday cancelled me, but instead of complaining about it, I choose to enjoy my "surprise vacation" by just having fun
grateful that I have my cousin and other best friend as a supporter and we had a great Friday night sleep over..We vowed to stick together and hang out more with each other....
anyway, this is where I want to put my mind...the negative energy can't do much with someone who keeps looking for the flowers amongst the S*&*
JUST SAYING

There was an old hoary chestnut of a video- Father Joe Martin- about this kid shovelling manure out of a stable- 'there's got to be a pony here somewhere'.
having been bought up with horses and ponies I used to mutter under my breath and say: 'why doesn't the stoopid bl**** kid go out and look in the paddock!!! ???'

Alanon reminds me that if i focus on the positive , I will find more to be grateful for- Gratitude lists are a wonderful help.
I must guard against fantasy and foolish day dreams as they get me in trouble Living in reality with a positive attitude is what I try to do each day.
