I want to share my gratitude today. It's been exactly 6 months since my first Alanon meeting today, and I feel like celebrating. I've been looking forward to this "semi anniversary" for a couple of weeks now much like a kid waiting for her birthday, although I didn't really expect any presents :) I'm just so happy I'm hanging on better then, it seems, ever. I'm grateful for the renewed hope and gradual regaining of my sanity, happiness, peace which I couldn't come even close to by myself.
Today presentations for not one but two wonderful books took place that I am proud to have taken part in bringing to the readers as their editor. Both events were sincere and really wonderful. These both books are very dear to me and took a lot of effort on my part, and I was thanked for my work many times today for which I'm truly grateful and happy. I'm also grateful I was able to really acknowledge and be grateful for the praise and steer clear of the nagging doubts of still not having done as well as I would have wanted.
Today I was grateful and happy for today, without giving myself to worries about tomorrow. This is becoming somewhat more common to me recently, as I'm finally starting to really live One day at a time.
I'm grateful my mom talked to me on the phone for 20 minutes while I was walking home from the train station in the evening, because I asked her to - I was a bit nervous walking alone so late.
I'm grateful for the program, my meetings, our literature, the steps and MIP for gently but surely pushing me out of a black hole of my own creation. I'm not the same person I was six months ago, and I feel I'm going to get even better as long as I keep working the program.
Thank you for sharing your road to recovery with me!

Thank you, IAH :) Yes, in the words of Eric Cartman, today "I've got a golden ticket". Well, it was bound to come one day, I'm happy it was this day :)

I just love the expressions of gratitude remembering what it was like from the beginning. If HP was here with me physically I'd whack HP on the back and say "Good Job"!!
Aline you are what I consider a miracle in recovery....Keep coming back (((((hugs)))))

A great share Aline...
we live close to a tourist resort. I have been to assemblies over there.Have heard speakers from North America- and they seemed so crisp and suave.
So I made up this line- that ah could use- one day- when I got up to speak. And this appears to be the day-!!! .... I went from the paralysis of analysis to an attitude of gratitood! And I have! Reading your posting this morning I realised that the word gelled... and that I was in the same frame of mind. ...
Thanks for the reminder... it does work if we work at letting go... it sure does... ...
Thank you, Betty :)
Hugs, ((((shrnp)))).
