I have been very busy lately working and taking it one day at a time. My sister passed out 3 weeks ago and her husband took her to the ER. They discovered her large intestines were leaking and have to take out 6 inches of her colon which in turn gave her a colostomy for the rest of her life. She was also very toxic and we thought she wouldn't make it then. While there they found out she have AML ( Acute Myeloid Leukemia ) which was very far advanced. Transferred her to the City of Hope. Now trying to get her strong enough to give her a trial targeted chemotherapy. Just to blasted her with the usual method would kill her for sure. It's touch and go right now but it doesn't look good. All I can do is pray and visit as much as I can.
Me.....I had an MRI because my arms were numb and tingling. Come to find out the disc between my 5 and 6 vertebrae is trashed and has to be fixed. I'm going in for Cervical Spine Surgery on the 14th of July. This week is tests to get ready.
So far 2017 sucks and I can pray for the second half to get a little better.
BOY has my life changed over the last 7 months....
Hugs to everyone and keep the faith and take it one day at a time.

Wow Cathy, a lot going on for you lately. Sending prayers and healing thoughts for you and your sister. Hoping your surgery goes well and that the end of 2017 is brighter and kinder than the 1st half.

Cathy trouble and bad times come in waves or so it seems to me. All we can do is pray and put one foot ahead of the other until we make it through to the other side . My mantra for a long time has been, This too shall pass. Wish I could give you a hug and some support but all I can do is say a prayer for both you and your sister.
