I've been slowly (and I mean slowly) going through and working to downsize my belongings and residence. Along this journey, I've found all kinds of things - pleasant memories and not so pleasant memories. Yesterday, I came upon a bag of panties I had purchased and apparently put into a closet and forgot about.
So - this morning, I got the bag out and took a closer look. They were really pretty and feminine - not something the aged me would often consider - I am so about comfort at this age/stage. Anyways, I selected a pair and went about my morning routine. Well - I put these new panties on, they fit wonderfully, look pretty and ... wait for it - I feel like a million bucks!
I had to write because I've been laughing at me all day long. I had some errands to run and each time I got out of the car, I was joyful - all over new panties that nobody is going to even see! So - I've got gratitude today over a new pair of panties - is it really that simple or am I still insane?

That's so cool. I love feminine things, and wish I were patient enough to lose stuff to find it later! Glad you got to surprise yourself.

Thank you for sharing iamhere, it made me smile because I think being grateful is that simple. I too find gratitude in the little things and it's a reminder that HP wants us to enjoy serenity and sanity :)

(((Hugs))) ladies! I don't mind pretty things - like them, just that it seems the prettier panties are, the more uncomfortable they are. So, when I put them on, and they were pretty and they were comfy - I just felt joy. Thank you for helping me realize I may still be a bit crazy but it's OK to be grateful for the simple, little things!
Betty - I (and my brothers) were all really small babies, kids, teens, etc. My brothers all grew more in college that high school and I too was a very late bloomer. I remember being 16/17 and wanting to 'be and look older'....always/often. Anyways - with exception to my pregnancies, I've been the same size most of my life. I have been very fortunate with metabolism and what not - slowing now....I'm having to be more careful.
I graduated HS in 1980, and we had Tees made with our HS name and all the graduates listed. I still have it and wear it ONLY to reunions. It still looks brand new as it doesn't get much use! Still fits after all these years...
So - lesson for today - get some new panties ladies - made my day...might work for you too!

Oh.....Betty - I can relate to the 15 lbs.....I don't get the smoking/weight connection but it's real! I did the same thing but I am lucky - when I gain, it's everywhere. It's taken me 7-8 years to drop 5.....*sigh* - I am not complaining - it could be worse! You go girl - these weren't swanky sexy - they were just lace pretty.
Have a blast and enjoy the experience!!!

Iamhere - what a great share! You are not crazy at all!!!! I have found myself feeling secretly beautiful with a new, lacy bra under my clothes in the past... so I totally get you, girl!!
Also, I graduated in '81, and very envious that you are still the same size! Rock that bod!

Once I left my partner I went to the store and completely changed over my undergarments and BOY what a difference. I don't care that I'm overweight they looked so much better. Thanks for the reminder that everyone needs to care for ones self no matter what it is you do.
YAHOO!!!

Hello all, loving this share and just have to add my OLAF undies to the gratitude here:) It started at Chinese New Year when my Chinese daughter-in-law told me it was good luck to wear red underwear during the New Year. So off I went to the store in search of red undies. Absolutely nothing but a pair of red and white cartoon Olaf boy shorts. So I laughed and tossed them in the cart figuring they're going to probably just sit in the drawer. Surprisingly they fit great and made me laugh when I put them on thinking geez I hope I don't have one of my common ER visits:) I found my mood very lighthearted everytime I put them on and still do, might even get some more:))

ROFL @ Jerry - sorry brother from another mother....did not mean to offend! Just had to check my sanity/insanity level when something so simple as an undergarment made my day!
Stan1 - that's awesome.....super great to know it's not just me! I hadn't heard that about red - will have to work on that!!! Got some time on my side!
