lookingup, this is a great story thank you for sharing, I remember those moments very well. I love not having to share the TV with anyone but my grandson when he is at my house. We all deserve to feel that way, thanks again for a great reminder.

Hi Lu recovery is a process and I too found that changes happened without my actually noticing them. I love to reflect back at the end of each year and review all the different ways I have responded differently and how my life has changed. Thanks for being here and sharing the journey. This is why we need to keep coming back. :)

Aha moments are one of the gifts of the program. I had an Aha moment last week, that took me 6 months to achieve, and it was something my son told me months ago. It's probably a combination of HP at work, all the tools floating around in our brains, and for me I would add a certain "readiness" to be able to accept something I didn't want to. I'm a grateful member of Alanon, Lyne

Aloha LU and thanks for the post. Because of the gift of long memory I have constant AHA!! moments and this is one of my gratitudes of recovery. My memory is almost indelible so I am almost never away from those that raised me in recovery. Glad you dropped back in with this subject matter. (((hugs)))
