I'm new here. I'm experiencing a bit of anxiety today. Maybe someone can chat with me.
I'm a SAHM of a toddler. My husband is a recovering alcoholic - about 60 days sober and I still experience anxiety and worry and dread when he has to go out with work colleagues or clients.
Today is one of those worrisome days. i can't shake my anxiety and I'm sitting here crying.

Hugs Amy and welcome,
Alcoholism is a family disease it doesn't only affect the drinker. I hope you can break the isolation that comes with the disease and find a close by alanon meeting in your area.
Big hugs it gets better.

It's difficult to get to a group near me because my child's bedtime (it's an ordeal that only I can put her to sleep and it takes well over an hour)
I'm trying to find an online group.

Welcome, Amy, great that you reached out. There are online meetings available from this site, I haven't participated in those, but I think they're held twice a day. (((Hugs)))

Welcome Amy What you are experiencing is the result of living with the disease of alcoholism. I too had deep anxiety, fear, anger and resentment facing each new day.
Alanon face to face meetings provided me with new tools to live by and a supportive network to connect with as we cannot do this alone.
Many meetings are held in the afternoon and mornings and do provide baby sitting services. Please check the white pages for the number of the alanon Inter-Group service in your community and check it out Literature is also available which helps in between meetings. There is hope and help-- Keep coming back
