I had gotten away from my readings of ctc and odat last several days,gotten myself way off center.im not perfect and won't be in this life I'm striving each day.i get sidetracked with other things like I get caught up with freinds shopping what not.
guess I got a one track mind on one thing ,as I'm been brainstorming last few days,planning on doing a make over inside my home ,great healthy freinds have talked me into it,really needs it ,time for a change.
as I got back to my readings this morning,knew I was missing something ,it was ctc and odat.
they speak to me also,
as ive read I'm seeing how at one time I used this board as my sounding board always in a crises I'd run here,over and over,as some of you here today knows and have heard me in past,Im grateful for you that I was allowed to do so soo many times,I thank you for sharing my journey,it has been a long one years,grateful for my recovery today.
i now realize that it's not a sounding board for constant crises or misery to be brought here but to detach myself from these things that's given me misery ,to let go of the past,not live in the future for all we have is now ,the present.thats all we have to live in is now ,today.
theres new ideas new ways of living today,new behaviors to be learned,so there's lots of work to be done on ourselves .
i do a lot of slipping and sliding in program,I know it's progress not perfection that we seek.im grateful for that today,I don't have to be perfect anymore,being able to show up is a huge one for me today.im working on it .smiling.
i love the intellect has little to do on the road to discovery,there comes a leap in consciousness,call it tuition or what you will,and the solution comes to you and don't know how or why" Albert Einstein.
i soo needed to hear that today,
Alanon works when we work it,this Ive witnessed over an over.in myself and others,
when I just let go of trying to force it to work
when I relax sit back trusting in my hp and his guidance,
solutions will and do come ,when at a crossroads not knowing what to do ,hp takes over,out of no where solutions come,when I let go and trust in the process taking that risk ,leap of faith,God as I choose to call him,and how I understand him never fails us never will,it's true I'm Grateful to all those who have gone before me proven,worked it,have taken that leap of faith,are here today sharing it ,living life to its fullest .thank you,thank you alanon ,12 steps,cal,program for being here for me today..........hugs LU

Great wisdom shared here L.U . Thank you. Love the Albert Einstein Quote as well and have experienced what he refers to many times.
In order for me to remember to read my daily reading, I keep the alanon books next to my coffee cup so that In the AM when i am waking up, I do my readinga It helps to focus me for the day.
Your recovery is an inspiration.

I have come along ways for sure,had lots of doughts along my way,still coming out into the sunlight.
