Yes, today is 3-1, but C2C gives us an extra page for leap year, and I really like it. It describes the path of an auto piloted aircraft, not as we might think: constantly locked on course, but slightly off course most of the time as it constantly readjusts to get back on target.
Using the program as a guide works best when we keep regular contact to see where adjustments are needed. Long periods of time without contact, or even brief periods when things are in turmoil can find us way off course. We don't need perfection, but we did need consistency.
Today's Reminder: We can navigate the path our higher power has laid out for us, often by trial and error, if we are willing to make the adjustments.
"A person who makes no mistakes usually does not make anything." - Alcoholism, the Family Disease
**************** A high control tendency often displays itself in my desire to have everything perfect and accounted for. The program helps me dial that down, and remember that progress, not perfection, is what will get me there...in so many things.
Keeping in regular contact with program principles and my higher power helps me stay on course to my serenity. So grateful for the guidance

Good Morning Paul Thanks for sharing yor thoughts on today's important reading in C2C. Before program, I do believe that I was on "automatic pilot" and refused to make any "coarse adjustments" because I truly believed that my direction and ways were the "right way" and I could not change or see any other path.
Enter program, and being in such pain, I picked up the tools readily and found that it was true that "If I kept an open mind I would find help".
I love the sentence in your posting that points out: "We don't need perfection, but we did need consistency " By simply showing up and using the tools, the slogans and a sponsor at first and then the Steps going forward, allowed me to slowly let go of my destructive negative attitudes and obtain the "Courage to Change". Serenity is a true gift of this program.

Thanks for sharing, Paul and Betty!
I remember one of the most important things I heard when I started in the program was "Practice, not perfection." This morning, I find myself reflecting on this, and on my standards for myself. It seems that I am still expecting perfection from myself, and anticipating rejection if I am not perfect. The power of showing up, of practicing, and of adjusting course as needed is amazing, and today's reading is a reminder that veering a bit off course is always to be expected, but it doesn't have to mean that the destination has changed.
I believe I will spend more time on practice, on consistency, and practice not worrying about perfection.
Have a lovely day everyone!

Thank you Betty also.
I always thought perfection ,everything I done or didn't do had to be perfect before program
Today I can relax knowing the truth of
It's progress NOT perfection that I seek after.
And by knowing this simple and true principle ,I can progress to a better me .......((((((hugs)))))))
