I don't usually have these mostly I've suffered from nightmare directly from being born and raised in the disease. But my HP is gentle and kind now in my elder years so I either get the random nightmare or no dreams at all. Last night it was none to start with and I couldn't sleep soooo I went to the kitchen and got some "PM" pain pills and went back to bed. Wallah!! I fell asleep and had a sweet dream. I was in a meeting and felt someone rubbing up next to my right arm. I heard this someone murmuring in a familiar voice and tone and looked over to find "Suzanne" an elder Al-Anon member who use to attend our home groups Wednesday Night year ago. She like me is a "double" so as HP will have it this morning at my AA meeting she was there along with a bunch of other program miracles I call my family. I told her about my dream and we laughed and when I participated I told the group they were my family; not my blood family my spiritual recovering family that replaced the one I was born into and continues to drink and use up till this day. I told them about my dream which replaces my nightmares and more than a few nodded in recognition. We laughed with gratitude knowing we don't have to live like that anymore. Thank you God and my recovering family which of course includes MIP on a daily basis. Big (((((Hugs)))))

Beautiful share Thank you Jerry. I too appreciate my spiritual recovery family but have never entertained such a sweet dream. Thanks for sharing the journey.

Yay on you Jerry - glad you got some rest and a bonus dream....I love hearing how God works in other's lives - it gives me goose bumps. I agree with you on the gratitude for my recovery family.....I don't bother thinking where I would be without them - I just focus on the gift they are for me and thank God often/always for the way he works in my life!

I can understand this too, the idea of family. I feel as if I have a whole group of Mothers and Sisters and Brothers at my meeting. Im so grateful.

My times of dreaming, come and go... tend to remember the dreams I wake up to... but ah guess i am processing lots and lots of stuff, as i sleep.
My sleeping has become regular and relaxing in recent times...
I assume I have dreamed of being in the rooms, but these did not wake me up, at the time... ...
I might have even dreamed of being here... ... but no nightmares here... ...
