The Alanon board is by far the biggest board in the MIP clubhouse.
I belong to another group as well, "across the corridor". While in the USA I went to meetings in towns like Sarasota, Rapid City, Atlanta, Lower Manhattan, and Mill Valley Ca.
Many places have a clubhouse, started by AA. They provide non-alcoholic drinks and a place where people can meet and chill out.
When I was stateside last I made informal contact with you Betty .... Also I met John and a leader on the ACA board.
Because of the chaotic family system I come from I sometimes overdo things... get my necktie in a twist. But other times I manage to do the right thing. Being involved and sharing keeps me on an even keel.
With John being ill, it is a concern about how the MIP board keep going into the future. This week I made a personal donation to you John- a love gift in gratitude for the work you do here. This is 100% voluntary.
This is a special place. I am sure we would all like to keep things going, through thick and thin.
On the ACA board the chat meetings have more or less fallen into abeyance. Members tend to keep in touch through email, facebook and video. The message boards are great places to meet people with shared interests and concerns.
Sharing on the boards keeps everyone in the loop.
So this posting is just a heads up, really. To express interest and concern.

MIP is important to me and has helped me greatly! I have sent prayers of support and am hopeful that we can keep moving forward - One Day at a Time!

David, you are absolutely right. I want to put a few things together that will continue to give MIP long years after I am gone. I kinda think of it as a foot print, i going to be leaving behind some day, in not so distant future. I would like it to stay in action long after I go. Therefore, I am in the background trying to organize things, such as passwords, ect, that I can pass the reigns over to upon my exit. A member I am not very familiar with has offered to take over the webmaster part of the site and keep it going with everyone's financial help. I will also be weeding the groups down on the site that are not fully self supporting, and have little to no activity on them. I agree that the groups should come together with a rep, who determines how to best handle their groups portion of the site and who should be responsible for seeing its carried out as agreed.
I will keep this post and this transition in mind as I work here in the background as the founder and webmaster.
I love you folks... don't ever think you do not matter deeply to someone in this world. You matter to me.

I live in the mountains... and I work on a mountain... I know where al the gullys and mineshafts are- so when I came on the MIP board I hunted and delved and found out as much as I could about this place.
Somewhere in my world is a power greater than myself... won't go into it here... no need to... but this sense was attached to the whole MIP board itself.
Initially I thought it was attached somehow to Miracles in Progress. [Not a bad thing.] But then I found out the real kaupapa [base, policy] behind it- something I could go with... ...and embrace.
I asked the tough questions in my family. Like why was my kid sister expected to have a meal on the table when mum and dad came home.
Some things I ask and say cannot be understood outside of the rooms...
soft innocent questions...
A lot of us either speak up too much, or too little- and don't know when. I am like this too.
What I like best around here is how everyone pitches in... the coffee is invisible... the chairs non-existent. So it takes a lot of faith- and imagination to hold things up!
It really does show what the programme can do! Anywhere!

Hi John, hope you get well soon. You have done a great thing setting up MIP and im grateful to you. I have a question that I hope doesn't sound too selfish at this time but Im concerned about my personal details being in the hands of another person and Im sure you have thought about this anyway, I would like to be kept up to date on any future plans so that I can decide if I would rather have my details removed from your system before another takes over.
