Well it's finally done. I have officially sold the home and I will living in Anthem, AZ in about one month. I'm happy but also scared...I know in my heart it is the right thing to do. I have to thank my son for the encouragement and support getting me there.
Even with everything going on with him.....he was the one that pushed me to get away from the abusive relationship so I could live a better life. He is right...I know he is right....now to learn to live alone and get myself happy again.
Thank you all for your support and prayers that someday I will do something for ME. I love you all

Cathy, if anyone deserves to do something for themselves, it is you! You have been through so much and still managed to keep your sanity and even reach out to help others. I just know you will do well and be happy in your new life away from all the stresses of an abusive relationship and able to heal and grow strong. God bless!

Thank you everyone..... The more it's sinking in the better I'm feeling. I'm doing this for ME and my happiness. No more taking care of others and I'm not going to feel guilty about it.
I have spent 26 years taking care...doing everything for this man with nothing in return. He still is sitting on his butt not even knowing for sure what he will do. Better get it together because in a month you are going to be homeless. Oh he does have this idea he is going to live on his 40 acre's up in Northern AZ in a tiny house off the grid. Good luck...more power to you. Oh well I can't worry about him anymore...he's a big boy maybe. I have to think I got him this way because I always took care of everything for him and now he has to fend for himself. Gosh I can't even get him to go open a checking account so his SSI check can't be deposited someplace. He just doesn't get it.
PS: I do worry about what will happen to him BUT YOU CAN'T Cathy.......Let go Let God!!!

Cathy, thank you for sharing, Im happy for you. You deserve to be happy and I can relate to how your alcoholic son has been the very person to encourage and support you and help change begin. My son has always been the person to challenge all my old thinking and he has been the catalyst for change in my life for a long time now. Good for you, I wish you the very best.x
