I don't know where to start. Just before bed dh and I commented on what a nice , "normal" day we had. Twins hadn't been severely intoxicated in our presence in 2-3 weeks. We were *just* starting to let our guard down a teeny tiny bit. We went to bed at 11pm. At 1am I was awoken by the dog barking. The twins were having a fist fight in the street. Twin 1 came in and I immediately smelled alcohol, lots of it. He told me they had been drinking. He divulged some other crazy stuff that has been going on and it looks like he may face jail time and he has threats on him for being a snitch. He's terrified that he may lose his life--the last guy to snitch was put into a coma. Meanwhile Twin 2 comes in bloodied and intoxicated. We called the state troopers (we have no local police force). They came out and determined he was not intoxicated enough to be put in PC. They are great, but their hands were tied so they left.
Twin 2 immediately started being awful once the troopers left. He hauled off and punched his brother in the head. We called the police. He was arrested for A/B. He will face the judge In a few hours. Not sure if I want to pick him up after court. It's a 15 mile walk.
Oh and just by chance dh went into his room to turn his light off and noticed his closet light was on. He opened the closet to turn that light off and saw our son had a few plants sprouting. Not cool.
ETA: Twin 1 wants to live sober, doesn't want meetings, or a plan, but to stay away from everything for a little while. He has agreed to go to a meeting tonight. We'll see what happens when 8pm rolls around
