Today's reading focuses on the Serenity Prayer. The reading points out that the prayer is a reminder that we do not have control over alohol or alcoholic behavior. Many of us have expended and extraordinary amount of energy trying to manage events which were completely out of our control.
For me, this prayer has provided focus, guidance, served as a mantra and has been a consistent reminder that I can admit powerlessness and turn things over to my HP. With the help of my sponsor I have noticed that the times I feel stirred up and anxious are when I am trying to control a situation. As written in the thought for the day, when I let go of control and 'Let Go and Let God' I feel the grace of serenity.
I hope everyone enjoys a serene Tuesday!

Thanks for your service Mary The serenity prayer is my go to prayer. I love how I ask for courage, serenity and wisdom and acknowledge my reliance on HP. Have a lovely day.

Thank you Mary for the daily, your ESH and your service. You too Betty! I love the serenity prayer as it grounds me almost immediately. I literally in one moment can admit I am powerless, ask for help/guidance, work to accept what is right in front of me and practice growth and humility. It makes perfect sense to me that this should be the simple prayer for recovery!
And of course, my abbreviated version --- Bless Them, Change Me! --- is my go-to in my head that helps me limit my eye-rolling.
Progress always, not perfection is my goal for each day.
We have lovely weather this morning in my part of the world. Sun is shining, and back to more normal temperatures. Off to golf in a short while - make it a great day all! (((Hugs)))
