I cannot attend face to face meetings but would love to find a sponsor who can help guide me through the steps. How do I go about finding a sponsor? If it helps someone decide if they are a good fit for me-I have been coming to this online site for almost four years. I came because I finally realized that my (then 32 year old) daughter is an alcoholic and her alcoholism was taking over my life (even though she does not live with me, or even in my state). If it is possible to request a female sponsor, I would feel more comfortable talking with a woman as there are many issues I would like to be able to comfortably share with another woman.

Besides posting on the Message Board, possibly going to the on line meeting and the chat room, might produce positive results. Good luck.
