I am reading a book called "a WOMAN'S WAY THROUGH THE TWELVE STEPS" BY STEPHANIE S. COVINGTON, PH.D
I am reading in step three and something hits me one of the reason I don't want to let go because i was sexually abuse and rape, hit, and so on I don't want to let go of the contorl.

I also have abuse in my past and issues with control. I shared about it at a f2f last night regarding faith. I have a hard time giving up control to anyone. I am not a religious person. I am a spiritual one though. I realized last year that when I reach the end of my rope and I say out loud...I can't do this alone...help follows. Do I believe God will protect me? Not so sure. Do I believe that my hp or spiritual goddess will watch over me and that all will be ok? Yes. I can handle that. Let go and let your goddess protect you! I try to believe deep in my heart that all will work out for the best. That I am exactly where I am supposed to be in my recovery right now.
