Thank you all for your responses to my previous post. I am always amazed at how the ESH aof others can lift you. My friends wound up cancelling due to the weather...but Itook the opportunity to take care of my house and started to organize things a bit...before I knew it I can cleaned out my linen closet, pantry, 4 kitchen drawers and china cabinet I put all of my energy into that and I feel a sense of accomplishment.....I am thoroughly exhausted now and the dog and I are going to get ready to hunker down for some TV and sleep. Thanks again. My feelings haven't gone away...and I'm sure that there will be ups and downs...but i'm glad I can come here and get some inspiration, and a pick me up or two....I am truly thankful to you all....

Sounds like you took great care of yourself! Very inspiring! I, too, find that physical labor really helps me during difficult, especially grief-struck times. When I am grieving, it can be SO hard to get moving, but when I do, I rewarded with a clearer head and often a much-needed physical tiredness.

Sounds like you used the tool "When I got busy, I got better." There's actually an alanon book with that title.
I find that I feel really good from my sense of accomplishment also and it keeps the focus off what I think my loved ones should be doing and let's me work on keeping my side of the street clean.
Great job! Keep working it cause it works and you are worth it.

Congratulations on focusing on you. I am glad that you did a clean up that is good with Chinese New Year coming. I am trying to make new traditions Chinese New Year being one of them.
