you know when I saw the A so sick and on the floor, not unlike a
starving Ethiopian, I felt such sadness inside. My first thought was
there is no one to talk to that will understand.
I knew in my heart you guys do understand. I felt so fortunate to
know when I got home I could tell ya. The hugs and caring are so n ice.
Just knowing people read the vent is wonderful to know.
Most people just see a drunk, lowlife, drunk driver who does not
deserve to live. But what if a diabetic had to have insulin and was driven like an
a is?
We hear it is a disease yet treat them like, well worse than poop. NOONE chooses toto
be A, anymore than choosing to be one gender or another. We are what we are.
Aism lies, causes havok, relapses, goes to rehab and comes back two days later or goes
in a month and gets out and goes to a liquor store from the door. NO they won't change
they cannot change, they are A forever. IF we are going to love them, it has to
be unconditional. Does not mean you can live with them or trust them. Just love them.
Have hope they will have sober and clarity time in their life.

Dear Debilyn,
Just to let you know you are in my thoughts. I am one of the lucky ones, my A daughter is recovering, 5, going on 6 years. I know, I can not take it for granted, have to look after myself.
Alcoholism is such an ugly illness, when you see someone, a beautiful person, reduced to rolling on the floor, vomiting - it breaks your heart, I know this.
Please look after yourself, you have helped many people here, including me - time to take care of you. No matter what happens - you have to put your own needs first, as we know, we did not cause it, cant control it and sure as heck cant cure it, believe me, I gave it my best try on all three.
Lots of love, and big ((((((((hugs)))))))), you are a very special person,
Flora

Dear Debilyn, I haven't been through what you are going through, but just wanted you to know that you are such a wonderful, loving person, and nobody could be kinder or more sympathetic to their A. It's so sad that you both are going through such a hard time. A lot of us here on this board get so much from your posts. I admire your strength, love and courage, you are an inspiration!!! I hope one of your animals does something super funny to make you laugh, you sound like you need it. Praying for you and yours, Love TLC
So nice to hear it when PEOPLE GET IT!
