hi everyone i havent posted in a while cause ive been pretty busy so ill just give you an update. im back to work now and happy to be. my a is attending meetings and im going to my own f2f as well. we are also seeing an addictions counsellor that is helping us set up some plans. so i feel good right now. tomorrow i think im gonna try a co-anon meeting as ive just been informed my a's coke use was much worse then i had expected so he is working on that addiction as well as the alcoholism and trying to kick them. for me i have let my self slip with working out because i was ill for two weeks so i hope to start up again this week. but im definatly pampering myself. got my nails done, just did a facial, and bought myself a few treats. my a and i have also started going out on regular dates again which is helping us get through this. i hope everyone is doing well tc everyone :)

I'm happy to hear that things are going in the right direction for you and your A. I'm glad you got to give yourself a few indulgences, you deserve them. Take care of yourself and I'll see ya in chat later.

Glad to hear you're in a better place. I belong to Co Anon and it is a wonderful program! Very very similiar to Al Anon as far as the steps, literature etc. Only difference is our loved ones drug of choice is cocaine. The effects on us are pretty much the same regardless of what substance our loved ones abuse. There aren't many f2f Co Anon meetings and absolutley none anywhere around me. It's been a goal of mine for a long time now to get one going in my area. Just maybe this will be the year I accomplish that.
I belong to the online Emeeting of Co Anon and it's a wonderful group. They are very straightfoward and the *old timers* can seem a bit harsh when you first are getting to know them, but the experience, strength and hope they share have been a God send for me. If you're interested in that meeting you can sign up for it from their main web site www.co-anon.org
