Today I am staying in my pajamas!!!!! I may take a shower later on. LOL Work and errands the last month have worn me out and I need the rest and comfort of just being home.
My son, 2nd born, arrived from AZ with his wife and three kids last night, this is the first time I have met my grandchildren. He married a gal with a 6 yr old little boy and 3 yr old daughter. Then 4 months ago they had a little girl! I cannot begin to express the joy I have felt since last night. My A still is not drinking and my son walked right by me last night with the baby and handed her to her "Papa" LOL.....My husband has been a part of my boys life for nearly 9 years, they have watched the turmoil that we have went through, they have lived with his behavior all these years yet they love him and respect him in ways I don't understand.
My heart is pulled in such a touching way when these children speak. I am thinking more and more of going back to school to become a counselor either for women and/or children.
I was pleasantly surprised this morning when my A woke up, he came out to the kitchen and kissed and hugged these children that have come into our lives! I am amazed as I watch him find his way without drugs and alcohol. I have started focusing more on me again, back on track and find that I can enjoy our time together more when I am not taking "his" inventory.
Have a great day, I know I will.
Hugs Mary
PS I am really good at this Nana stuff, I was watching a movie with the 3 yr old and baby, and they were both asleep in like 30 minutes!!!!! LOL
