How do you guys deal with boredom. For me, it's when my mind starts to wander and I end up too in my head. Unfortunately I happen to have a job that requires very little of my mental capacity. I spend a lot of the day attempting to "look busy". So, a lot of my days are actually spent with "The Committee" or obsessing about my "A".

Hi Emafer,
I felt like that in my last job. I kept a notebook full of affirmations with me everyday. When my mind started to wander or I started to obsess, I re-read my affirmations over and over again. My desk was in a visible spot, and I didn't want everyone looking at my stuff, so I only had my notebook open when no one was around. I would repeat everything in my head.
Here are some of my affirmations I've used:
I love myself unconditionally. My bills are paid. I release my need to feel needy. Only good people and good things enter my world. I take care of myself first.
I made lists of what areas needed improvement and listed about 10 affirmations per area . So, if one day I was a mess worrying about my bank account, I would repeat those 10 financial sentences. It helped me get through the day, and helped me reprogram too. If you're really bored, you can try to visualize too. Visualizing the ideal situation with affirmations has worked wonders for me.

I found my HP through "boredom"
I found that my thoughts would wander, and wander.. usually ending up in the same places you describe (with the "commitee" etc)
However, I discovered that often, my mental "boredom" is the place that GOD uses to speak to me...
I let myself wander around up there. At first I would say a prayer to "open my ears, open my mind, and open my heart" to what God has to say...
I come here too when I bored. Keeps me out of other's people's heads...LOL

Awesome. I guess I really need some more prayers and affirmations to tell myself. I like the idea of having a little notebook.
Thank you thank you.

I just realized that I REALLY need something good to tell myself becuase I'm such a drama monger that all day I've been telling myself "I am Emily's breaking heart."

So today as I've been going through my day I've told myself "I am Emily's Clear Mind." I've have a MUCH better day.
