"where we are today is exactly where our higher power would have us be"

Took my One Day At A Time book to Church with me this morning. When I have a few mins before Mass starts I read the page for the day.
There was a line in today's that says "where we are today is exactly where our higher power would have us be". I read that while in Church!
People I know from Curves & work were saying Happy New Year. One even gave me a hug on the way out the door! (If she only knew how bad I needed that hug!) I think my HP really did put me in Church this morning.
What a different way to start off the year than I have in the past.

Although there is noooo substitute for a F2F hug; here's one for you
There's nothing like a real honest to goodness hug from someone who cares.
I hope you enjoy your day.

Thank you, Barbara, for your share. Taking "Courage to Change" to church sounds like such a great idea to me, too.
I was struck by that quote this morning, too. It gave me a bit of hope for today, when I am mired in depression again. As much as I have grown in the past couple of years, I still tend to depression when I am over-stressed, etc. So it gives me hope that whatever is going on, I am not alone, God (or HP) is with me.
I hope the rest of your New Year's was good, too.
Blessings,
